We just received out Hollywood rack and plan to travel cross country with 2 Rad Rovers.  With respect to rain and the electronics should we be covering these bikes with something? Thoughts, ideas?
Driving a Buick Enclave, hope this all works!

If you're going that far, I think you should definitely remove the batteries to save weight bouncing out there in the wind and protect them, but then install plastic covers on both the battery and mount electrical terminals (see eBay for these).  You should also buy a quality cover to keep out dust and rain and maybe help deter theft - use one of those big elastic cargo nets on top to keep it from flapping in the wind.

You may need to add auxiliary light/turn signals if visibility is blocked by the wrapped-up bikes (I bought these and they're pretty nice, but bungee them down and don't rely on the magnets alone: https://amzn.to/2UyMwBC.  Don't forget to lock the rack to your car frame as well as locking the bikes to the rack for a trip that long with overnight stops.

Here is a great carrying/storage bag that happens to fit Rad batteries like a glove: https://amzn.to/3D7eiqv
Shucks Ma'am, I'm no "Hero Member", I just like to wear this cape.
