Pride & Joy / New Rover with mods in Venice Fl.
December 10, 2020, 02:11:00 PM
Hello! Glad to have found this forum. Picked up a 2019 Rover from a very nice guy in Port Charlotte. Had it for over a year and only put 130 miles on it. I was happy to find it on Market place. Paid $950 for it. I modded the rear fender not only cause it had some light damage to the very rear but I didn't care for the full fender look. While I was in the area, I modded the tail light. As many have mentioned, you couldn't see the whole light especially with a fender. I manage to not have to spend any $$ too!
I think it looks great and it's still a functional fender. At least it protects the bike. I can't see riding in the rain and if I do, oh well. Enjoy all the info I've read here and look forward to reading more and commenting! 😂

Think I already posted but pic wouldn't load. Trying again.

It worked! Wish I would've copied my original post.

Picked up this 19 with 123 miles couple of days ago. Rear fender was damaged and I didn't like the looks of full fender anyway so I hacked some off! lol

While I was in the area, I noticed you couldn't really see the rear light from behind the bike. So I hacked it up too!  Just kidding.

Tell me what you think. It reminds me of a flat track bike.  Btw, light mod cost $0. Bent original bracket to fit and put 2 slots in fender for tabs to fit into so they are inside flange of fender. No ext cord needed.

Still need to sand and paint bracket and drill 2 holes into flange of fender to secure. 1 on each side.

I'll post another pic or 2 when I remove bracket to paint so you can see how I bent it. Not very difficult if you have a vice.
