I know handle bar ends are not for everyone, but personally I love them for long rides. Just being able to change grips and position really makes a difference for me.
So for anyone looking to add then to your Rover, I figured out how to do it without having to get new handle bars or move everything over.
I got these handle bar extensions:
Controltech Terminator MTB Bike Handlebar Bar End Extension Plug Length 20mm, AC-63, ST1777 https://amzn.to/3CjDbkB
And then you can add whatever bar ends you like. I used these:

You might need to use some super glue when you install the ends as they might rotate with extreme force.

That looks pretty good - thanks for the links. I assume the bar-end caps pop off so that I could move my current bar-end Mirrycle mirrors to the outside of these once installed? I have a bit of a problem squeezing onto a trailhead in my neighborhood between a fence and a tree, so even the extra couple of inches of bar width these would add might be a problem, but that's a different thing to work out.
Here's a pic of my current config - I turned the right-side mirror inwards and have barely enough clearance to hit the trail without dismounting the bike as-is.
I don't think your bar end mirrors will work in the bar extensions, I don't think they will go in far enough to work.

Right, of course; thanks! I was somehow thinking the new bars would be a pass-through for the mirror mount (which is about 3" long as I recall) but of course they can't be given how they work and the need for the extension.
