I have a older yellow latch rear Topeak basket and was told the Cascade plate would not work. Something about rail spacing. I was on the Denver site and they had them in stock, briefly. When I went back to order one a few days later (yes, I hesitated) they were sold out again. And forget the Topeak Omni Quicktrack adapter. I even checked all the local shops and they say they've never had them in stock! If I stumble across either 3 options I'll shoot ya a PM.

the cascade adapter will work, however the extremely poor finish of the cascade product's rails will cause major wear to the topeak bag and basket's adapter - would not recommend!

see my review and photos of cascade product here - https://www.radowners.com/index.php?topic=358.msg3531#msg3531

Hey all, it's over 40 finally in Eastern Iowa.  I'm a retired IT Systems & Network Engineer.  "Big-Ten" universities (uiowa.edu). Tertiary Hospital care. World 5 - Siemens. we could design, order/setup, of Major Buss Telematics Systems. Mom & Pop systems & network design, order, implement, complete.  "Servers, Switches, Router setup & deployment"  Actively using Raspberry Pi - ARMHF chips, etc. An endless plugin and additional system applications.  od services, applications.

Oops, the rest of me:  I'm 61, single, I ordered a PW4 in September 2020, final delivery 12/30/2020... I charged the battery, knowing I wanted to keep it in a charging matrix.

OOPS, I charged the dam thing, I can find the charger.  I must be observant,  "difficulty to find" on setting 10. It's hiding very well.  grrr... LMAO.

hi Joel52334!

soon-to-retire (june) dhs network admin from des moines here!

the local weather has been mild enough that we've been able to ride several times over the last couple weeks (between snowstorms).     ;D

i'm sure you'll enjoy the new bike - lots of interesting sites throughout our state.

...and as always, ride rad!

yeah, the radrunner 1 has no way to change gears...but in the year i've been riding it through mixed terrain areas, i've never really felt the need.

i've also been riding a juiced hyperscorpion for the last 9 months, which has an 8-speed shimano cassette.

in those 9 months i may have shifted...twice, maybe.

I AM WANTING TO BUY THE RADRUNNER 1. I HAVE CONTACTED RADPOWER ABOUT THE WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE UPPER REAR RACK. Sorry. They haven't contacted me or replied for 2 weeks. I have some Krauser bags off a BMW motorcycle that I think can be fitted on the rear of the Radrunner. But I need the width and length of the rear upper rack... Any Help?????

If don't want to wait you can get them here.

Jim
How come they have the 20-in inserts and the company's website doesn't?
Has anyone ordered from this company before?
On another note this is an awesome thread.

i've ordered a couple advanced 300w chargers from them - A+ service.

Service & Repair / Re: chain lube

as veggyhed stated that type of lube is likely too thin for bike chains.

i've had the most success using dupont chain wax -

this is a great, inexpensive ($6.96), nearly indestructible, water bottle cage.

i have installed several on multiple bikes with no issues.

the cage has numerous mounting options using the included velcro strap or the bike's hardpoints.

expandable - i've used up to a 32 oz. iron flask bottle in this bottle cage.

the 35a bolton radpower upgrade is the best mod i've done to my radrunner 1...so far!

i've been using the 35a bolton upgrade since last july with zero issues.

definitely increases the bottom-end performance - would recommend!

Bolton states the stock 750 watt motor doesn't like going much over 800 watts. Are you going much over that?

in the 8 months i've used the bolton power upgrade i've barely topped 750 watts on any rides.
