RadWagon / Re: Radwagon with two child seats and bags?

Same exact question here. I found a Reddit thread where someone recommended aftermarket Rad Slingset bags from Carsick Designs. Link: https://www.carsickdesigns.com/products/rad-slingset

My Rad Wagon order is still pending so I can't offer a review, but I have the Slingset on order as well, so I can tell you how it works in about a month!

Thanks much for the information, I'm looking forward to seeing your review in a few weeks!

In this setup you really need to look at options for front storage as described above so well already.

I have the Rad basket (the one that doesn't need the rack) on our wagon and it's a bit small for what you want. I'd definitely look at the large basket maybe also the matching bag for that.

In addition should you plan on getting the caboose you could potentially tie something between the rear child seat and the end of the caboose.

You can mount horizontally but the light diffuser will be pointed up and down instead of left and right.  Keeping it mounted vertically will help spread the light side to side for more visibility.
So the mount itself can only position the light either horizontally or vertically and not at a 90 degreee offset?

I use a Cygolite Hypershot 250 Lumen taillight for each of my bikes.  I can't say enough good things about them!  They are super bright for daytime visibility, multiple flashing modes, adjustable flash speed, usb rechargeable and made in the USA!  Make sure you know if you need the hard mount or soft mount before ordering.

I also use a cygolite Zot 450 lumen headlight for flashing daylight visibility.
Thanks much for sharing! With the hard mount I see almost always seat post attached examples. Would I be able to mount this on one of the horizontal rack bars at the end of the Radwagon and just rotate the light 90 degrees?

Greetings fellow riders, I'm getting the yepp seat delivered shortly and wanted to check if anybody has a recommendation for adding more rear lights to their bikes, maybe even on the back of the child seat?

Alternatively, any cool extra rear lights that you're using attached to the caboose?

Interesting, but overpriced just like the caboose. For the money they charge for a cheap plastic tent the caboose should be included.

Of course they're trying to accomplish what the long John bikes can easily do with their boxes, but at least there your kids don't get wet feet, I assume.

Received my RadWagon 4 a week ago and have put just under 200 km on it! I love it. It's a great bike and what has surprised me is how much easier it is to ride with PAS than my RR+ was! The narrower tires really let you pedal as though you were riding a regular bike. Rad did a great job with the center of gravity as well. Makes hauling kids or cargo easy. I usually keep the bike in PAS 0 or 1 and just use throttle for the steep hils whilst peddling. You will LOVE it!
Sounds very good - mine is in transit for a week now, hope it does show up this week! Went ahead and got a cloud 9 seat plus a yepp seat as well as the front basket, caboose and runner boards.

Had it for a few days now and so far it's been pleasant. As others mentioned before climbing hills needs some pedalling but overall I'm really enjoying the bike.

Nice to see someone from Ontario with their bikes. How satisfied are you with the Canadian specced bikes and their 500W output? Is it sufficient to get you up the hills and does it work for longer rides?

Not OP, but have experience with RR1 and RR+. Presently in Sherbrooke,  Quebec,  Canada where its very hilly. The RR1 works just fine but you do need to stand and pedal on some of the steeper hills whereas the RR+ takes it in stride with the 7 speed gear shifter. That being said, you would be hard pressed to expect the throttle to get you up the latter type of hills on throttle alone. Though in fairness,  I weigh 220 pounds so that doesn't help.

Once my warranty is up on my new RadWagon I plan getting the Bolton upgrades next year. I don't need more speed, I just want to help the motor get up our hills more easily with or without pedaling and especially when loaded with kids/groceries.
Thanks for the feedback! Ordered a white Radwagon 4 yesterday!

Looks like way better disc brakes and much nicer displays and buttons- some of the main interface elements.

It somehow has a new and different look to it and I don't necessarily associate that with the Rad brand. Maybe we just need more models being brought over onto this new platform to get used to it more.

RadWagon / Spare battery transportation
July 09, 2021, 04:08:14 AM
For those who carry a spare battery on their wagon, how do you attach them? I saw one person carry the battery in a cavity in the wagon 4 frame, but how hard is it to get to when needed? How do others transport their spares?

RadRover / Rear rack for child seat
July 08, 2021, 04:46:24 AM
Seems that the rear rack is out of stock like so many parts on the Rad website. Does anyone have experience with a third party rack that allows for the same child seat attachment as the one that Rad sell?
