Mine is also 2020 model but still under warranty so they supplied me a new back light which didn't solve the problem. Then a new controller which did solve the problem. At no cost to me.  The 35 amp controller is really worth it performance wise, it's night and day difference if you have to pay for a controller do it.

I was also looking to go this route but when I contacted Grove Tools they said they had no dealers in the U.K.

Yeah, I had this same problem. Rad sent a new rear light , this didn't solve the problem so they sent me a new controller which sorted the problem. All free under warranty and free postage return for faulty items.  I have since uprated to a 35 amp controller.  Well worth the upgrade.  Tony

Thank you for this information. I have found these are available in the U.K.

I have a Rad Mini 4 but I think Ryan did a video fitting for the Wagon

Yes the Euro 250 motor isn't the problem, as it seems to be capable of producing up to approx 1500 watts with the 35 amp controller. I think it was Altema that mentioned some time ago the standard controller was the restriction. In our case restricting us to 250 Watts.

Here is the answer from Radpowerbike EU, thanks.

"You have probably informed that Throttle can go full speed, and that is true but here in EU we call that Twist Power Assist.
Twist Power Assist on the European versions of the bikes is limited to 6 km/h. This means the Twist Power Assist on your bike will serve a walk assist function, or to give you a boost when you are starting off. This limitation is done so that the bike can be categorized as a standard e-bike throughout Europe, and does not require any registration or insurance."
Yeah, that sounds correct for an EU version.

There is a vid on YouTube about fitting a noodle instead.

I have the MIK. a bit fiddly to fit on the rad but once on, it works good for a quick swap of bag/box

The cassette fitted is 11-34 on the mini.  So a bigger front chainring is the way to go, and I presume a longer chain is this correct ?

With the extra speed of the upgraded mini. I find I am pedalling like crazy when 20 or more mph. Would changing the cassette or front chainring to a different size slow the pedal rate down? I would like to pedal more at higher speed in 7th gear. Has anyone tried this ? Any suggestions?   Tony
