I got the Ibera IB-RA5 rack off Amazon. Currently it's $40. I also got the Ibera IB-BA9-PAIR Panniers and Ibera IB-BA11 trunk bag. I got everything September last year and have put 500 miles on my RadRover 5. So far everything has been fine and no issues with the rack, panniers or trunk bag. The rack went on my RadRover fine with no modifications.

Awesome! thank you for posting up.

Bikes did arrived as planned and I will be assembling them this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Charging the batteries as I type this.

Question for you, did the rear brake light cable reach the mounting point on the rack? or will it need an extension to make it mount up without putting strain on the cable itself?

Thanks again!

I got this cable for the rear brake light. It was the perfect length(60cm).

I got the adjustable one from Gzila. It's bit pricey at $55 but I like it.

I use a kryptonite lock. Seems big and bulky , but they say they have a 4000 dollar theft reimbursement if there lock lets you down.
Not sure how much work it would be to go thru that hassle. I carry bike insurance during my riding season (im a fair weather rider)

Heaven forbid you get your bike stolen but if it does Hopefully the thief leaves the lock after they break it. I have read that Kryptonite will not honor the warranty without seeing the lock.

I can't explain this, but though my PC's web browsers all show the Rad Mini rear racks as being sold out, if I check using the Safari browser on my iPhone it shows the orange one sold out but not the black one.  I ordered a black one through the iPhone on Monday, the order was accepted and shipped, is supposed to be here next Monday.  Give it a try!

My browser Google Chrome shows the black in stock.

I got the Higo Red 2 pin connector. I got it off eBay for $6.63 and it came from China. Bought it November 14th and got it today.

Happy to say it does fit the RadRover 5 head light connector. I checked the voltage and it's 55 volts.

Hi Everyone, My name is Jim Foster From Fresno California. I received my RadRover 5 on 9/22/20. Currently I have 370 miles on my Rad. I ride to work almost every day. 8 mile round trip. I would like to ride on the weekends but there is really no where to ride around here that is fun. I see other people posting on Facebook of the nice places they have to ride. Friday I did pick up a motorcycle carrier for $109 from Harbor Freight. Saturday my blazer started acting up so not sure how soon I will get to use the carrier to go somewhere to ride. My other car is a 2020 Camry and I do not want to put a hitch on and have issues later with the car warranty. I think have have everything I want for my Radrover.

Here is my list:

Ibera rack trunk bag and panier bags.
Bike radar.
Turn signals front and back.
Bar end mirror.
Cloud 9 seat.
Rechargeable light.
Phone holder with tether.
GZila water bottle holder.
Two handle bar extenders.

The Ibera rack, trunk bag and panier bags have been good. No issues with them at all.

The bike radar was pricey but I like it. I use Ride with GPS app for rides and the Radar works with this app. There is times I don't notice a car and scares the shit out of me when they pass. Now I know. Also I don't have to look over my shoulder as much. This radar does not replace looking over your shoulder so when I get the all clear from the Radar I then look over my shoulder.

I bought two turn signals. Both pair with one remote on the handlebar but the front one I had to mount upside down. The turn signal has a flashing blue light mode which here in California will get you in trouble with the police so I took both turn signals apart and put black paint on the blue LED's. While I had the front turn signal apart I switched sides on the turn LED's so now I can mount the front one correct side up.

Bar end mirror is fine. Stays put and does not vibrate. Cloud 9 seat is ok but when I do 20 plus mile ride my but still gets sore. It's is an improvement over the stock seat but if I ride not stop for 20 miles my butt does start getting sore. I tried the Cascade water bottle mount but had problems with the top of my water bottle hitting my handle bars so I tried the GZila mount and it's perfect. I was able to tilt the mount back. When I first saw the GZila mount for $55 I said hell no I'm not paying that much for a water bottle mount but in the end I did. The GZila is a really nice water bottle mount. I like how you can tilt it back.

I had one handlebar extender but things got crowded on the bar and I also wanted my phone holder up higher. I got another extender and attached it to the first extender. No issues with the extenders so far. The phone holder has worked well for me. Most of the holders on Amazon did have a review or two about the phone holder breaking and their phone smashing on the ground. I got a leather strap with a hook and attached it to my handle bar and phone as a tether so if the mount was to break my phone won't smash on the ground. I am using my old Android phone as a bike computer. I didn't want to put my $1,000 iPhone on the handle bar and subject my phone to all that vibration. I think I am going to return the light and try another. I swear the light was brighter when I firs got it. The last night ride the light was dimmer than when I first got it. I have tried several lights and have not been happy yet. The main problem is the sellers lie about how many Lumens the light outputs so it's a trial and error thing you have to do.

General Chat / Re: Battery lock
November 28, 2020, 09:14:23 AM
The blanks are cheap. With these keys out there I would not trust my bike anywhere with the battery. I would take the battery off. Currently I don't own a bike lock. I just don't go anywhere I would need to lock up my Radrover. I don't think there is a lock that is 100% secure. I think a lock will only stop a thief that happens to walk by with no tools to steal otherwise a good thief can get your bike no matter what lock you use. I guess the only lock that is 100% is my butt. I have to much invested to trust a bike lock. I really wish I could. There are times I wanted to stop at Walmart on my way home from work.

I do believe this is the key blank.

The wattage sounds about right. I use PAS 3 most of the time, and mine will be345 to 375 watts with a full battery. As the battery drains and the voltage drops, the wattage will also gradually decrease. 303 watts is also about what I get on the last bar.

Do you get about the same milage ?

I got the connector just now from Amazon. The one from Walmart got lost so I canceled it. No go on the connector. It is a tad bit smaller.

The top one that I am holding is the one from Amazon. The bottom one is on the bike.

General Chat / Re: Any news on Black Friday 2020?
November 14, 2020, 04:59:11 PM
They better not have any good Black Friday deals... I emailed Rad last August and asked if they were coming out with any new models or having a Black Friday deals. The response I got was there were no plans for any Black Friday deals or new bikes being released so I ordered My RadRover 5 in August and got it late September.

General Chat / Range Question
November 14, 2020, 04:54:47 PM
I have the RadRover 5. I did a 25 mile ride today on PAS 3. I started out at about 375 watts. Every 6 miles I dropped 1 bar on the battery. Right after I hit 24 miles it dropped to one bar pulling 303 watts. Does sound about right? I tried PAS 2 and it was doing 125 watts. I was being lazy so I rode is PAS 3.

Thanks
Jim
