With a little trimming, I was able to get it to fit the battery.  I'm going to have to reprint it though because the center slot is too narrow.  I fit it for an M4 screw, not an M5 screw.  No biggie, just another 14 hours of printing.  Maybe I'll do the next one on draft, I didn't really notice I had it set to ultra-fine when I stared the last one.

Just holding it up to the bike, I think it'll work just fine on the bottle holder.

I have the DateX3 on my Rover 6+ with the stock battery and 2 rad external batteries on the rear rack. I went from a 9-12v of voltage sag to 1.5v voltage sag with this setup. this is now a hill-climbing beast. And I can run the bike off of any one of the battery locations or combination of them.

Did RAD send you mounts?  I talked to someone there one day & they were NASTY and said they only would sell the battery, not the bracket! Where did you get your X3?

I've found a couple templates to 3D Print on Thingiverse.  I added some extra's to my printer.  Now I have to self edit the configurations for it.  Ahh, ain't IT great?

Thanks,  JLH

Warning, before anyone prints that model and waste time and materials, double check the tab openings on the model with your battery.  I've found that the openings are a few mm too small.  I can make it work with my prototype modification, but it will need to be changed in the model itself before printing.

If I recall, the stock display has a main odometer, and a trip odometer.  You probably reset the trip, because I don't believe there's a way to reset the main one.

Some scum sucking lowlife rat bastard kicked in one of the sides of my trailer while I was at the grocery store this morning.  Broke 6 of the 3D printed brackets I made.  The acrylic is still intact though.  I have more pieces printing right now

why the hell would anyone even do that?!?! like, what's the point?

(also, any chance the store has cameras?)

Because there's a lot of assholes in the world.  No cameras outside.  A couple months ago I talked to the manager (I know almost all the employees there) and ask him to put cameras up to watch the bike rack.  He just laughed.

As of yesterday, my bike has a camera.  Picked up a GoPro Hero 4 Session for $75.

I know which model you're talking about, I considered printing it too, but I'd have to break it into 2 pieces and then come up with a way to put them back together.  It's just a bit too big for my printer.

I just got done modding that model.  It will have a pair of aluminum strips on the back to keep it rigid and it's broken into two pieces that fit together like a puzzle piece.  Those two pieces can be super glued (I'm printing it in ABS).  It will mount to the bottle holder on my RR2.  I'll post pictures when its' done.  It's a 14+ hour print at extra fine.

In case anyone was wondering, the large basket RP sells can fit 6 gallons of milk.

Added turn signals.
The controls for the signals were too large, and I had to move the bike controls to the right beside my horn button.
I got them here: https://amzn.to/3C6vNsy
I like them, they have two other modes, one where a red light flashes from all of them for visibility, and a "4-way" mode like a car.  They beep a different tone between right and left, but it's hard to hear over the road noise.  I can see them flashing from the front though, plus the buttons on the control flash when activated.

I have the large rear basket on mine.  I regularly carry the case I put together for my charger and inverter, a large leather messenger bag that's fairly heavy that can also hold my laptop.  I also carry my 40oz Coleman tumbler.  All of that fits in the large basket with a cargo net to hold it in place.  I never feel off balance, and the width of the bike stays the same.  Now, I do have my basket mounted in line with the bike and not across using custom made brackets.
I have an Abus lock mounted to the left side of the frame below the basket.  I've only ever tapped it with my foot while pedaling a couple of times, it's an indicator that I have my foot too far back on the pedal.

18mm isn't a terribly common size.  I've seen them used in cars, but not much elsewhere.

If you can't find a torque wrench that does NM, you can convert it to ft lbs here: https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/conversions/common/newton-meters-foot-pounds.php

From what I've read of the issue, this could be easily fixed at home and you could continue riding the bike after it's fixed.  If you're unsure of how to fix it, take it to your local bike shop and explain the problem to them.  Yes, it sucks because it's a warranty issue and you might be out of pocket to get it fixed.

If that were to happen, then I would take it up with RP and demand that they pay you back for whatever you're out because you shouldn't have to return the bike, nor wait weeks till they get it fixed.

Personally, I'd just fix it myself.

9 pages of spam, not much point in visiting here.

I removed the rear wheel on my RR2 to install the fender.  I found it to be relatively easy.  I flipped the bike upside down, disconnected the motor connector.  Loosened the axle bolts and slipped it out and off the chain.

When you put it back together, just make sure the wheel is straight and you tighten the axle nuts to the correct torquenitude.

this has been discussed widely online.

it's tragic, but it's grieving parents who are also lawyers trying to deflect responsibility. they're also suing the helmet company.

Rad has its issues. this isn't one of them.

Well, the bike being at fault isn't one of them, but they're still going to end up probably losing this in court, or settling.  Regardless, it isn't going to help the company that appears to be faltering.

I like the company, I like their products, but they're failing their customers in different ways.  Their customer service is horrible and their shipping is deathly slow.  When they have so much competition out there, they need to focus on being better.
