Also looks like the downtube is big enough to stuff the controller in there like the new Rovers etc.  Another step down the road of making it more difficult to mod/hotrod the line?

Now let's guess price ..... I'll open the bidding at $1,699 as 'Lectric rubs their hands together in glee.
I agree I would buy an Lectric if I needed a new bike. Their new cargo bike with the dual batteries and up to 150 mile range is 1699. They are killing Rad price wise. I bought a XP lite for a gift. Quality was much better than my Mini.

I bought my Mini probably a bad decision.  Quality is bad  customer support worse. I should have bought something locally m

I have a Mini 4  I bought a lectric lite to give for as gift.  I wouldn't by any Rad quality and pirice can't compare.  They will be gone soon.

I have the same horn and you are absolutely right  , very loud and cheap.
As far as charging I have had mine for over a year and charged it once out of boredom.  It was still working fine.

I have a Mini 4 , only one issue that caused a fall. Kickstand bolt fell out, no thread lock on it. Their tool kit sucks a minor wipe out .
Get a good allen wrench set and a good wrench for the rear axle bots.
You don't need a flat with horrible tools.

A lock is essential. My bike is only recreational. I never leave without 2 guns. Detroit area is hell.

I rebuilt motorcycle and hi po csonarengines for a long time. After working in   a car dealership for 40 years as a salesperson  knew all the mechanics. All went by feel.

I have a Mini  4. I recently bought a Lectric for a semi handicap friend.  The quality of the bike amazed me. Rad shows the signs of going out of biz.

General Chat / Re: RadRunner 2 with a dog trailer?

I have a Husky or Huskie  , I still don't know the correct spelling.
I live with a bike trailer in my living room  trying to get him interested.  He is a escape artist. He loves everything new except my new trailer.
He may probably recognize my riding ability.

RadMini / Re: Wobbly Folding Bike Stem on Radmini 4

Hi Folks,

Have a Radmini 4, and I'm on my second folding bike stem, but the same issue occures over time. The joint where the stem folds becomes loose over time, there is play in it. I can shim the joint to reduce the play in the joint, but this does not seem right. Causes play in the handle bar steering, and does not inspire confidence.

Anyone have this issue? Or can recommend a stronger / better folding stem for the radmini 4?

Cheers,
I have had a problem like that a few times.  Shortly after I got my 2021 mini 4 I hade play and a rattling noise , ended up being the allen bolt on the lower part  in the center of the stem was loose.
The next 2 times I started to get play again.  When you fold the bars down where it latches you will see a small set screw holding a hex head bolt. I loosened the set screw and tightened the hex bolt a little at a time until the latch had no play and was pretty hard to close and open.
The allen head is really cheap and wants to strip easily., mine was a 2.5 mm I believe and I bought some better quality Allen wrenches. I can't remember the size of the hex bolt but once the set screw was loose it moved easily.

You might try these if it doesn't work.
I have 6 additional items on my bar, everyone needed something to take up space. I've had to ad a couple wraps of Gorilla tape on the bar for some.

The plastic Stem mount that holds the middle LCD screen on my RADRover 6 step-thru to the handle bar snapped on one side so I called to find out how to order a replacement. The rep who answered the support phone said they were sorry but they do not sell that plastic piece but would be happy to order me a new LCD screen for $109.

Long pause while I found my mental footing to respond to him, I then said "you've got to be kidding" you want me to buy a new LCD screen to fix the cheap plastic mount that you sold me to begin with. I then asked him if that was the stupidest support response he had ever suggested and he agreed it was.

I have always had mixed feeling about the company and their lack of physical support but now I am on a mission to make sure that everyone who is considering a purchase look for a company with better support.

Oh one other thing they don't even list this LCD screen in their accessories.
I agree about lack of support and excessively high prices on parts and accessories.
I have a little over a year old rad Mini 4, constant adjustment of folding points and headset problems.
I recently was looking to buy a ebike for a friend who's had some tough times.  I thought a Mission but they were sold out, I bought my Rad when they were the darlings of you tube. So I hit the videos came across a new bike from lectric.
Met all the needs, under 1000 , single speed a light weight.
I don't know about its longevity but a very impressive bike. Fully assembled  only had to put in handlebars.  So I got her the XP lite with the cargo package. Bike 799 , front and rear rack with panniers under 100.
The build quality was way better than my Mini. Rear rack on in under 5 minutes same for front. No need to bend parts and retap threads like the 2 hour ordeal I had.
So if hers is at least not any worse than mine,  Xp 3 for my next bike.
Only had to contact them once about a delay with accessories
Emailed early knowing time difference and knew they were not open.  Got a resolution before business hours in about 40 minutes.
Sorry so long bur I have no confidence in Rad anymore.
Anyway if you can't get a mount looks like a GUB phone mount would work , a lot cheaper.

So I came into a little bit of money thanks to almost 45 years of working.  I want to buy a friend a bike.
I have a Mini st, I thought a Rad Mission would fit the bill. They don't exist anymore and my Mini is a constant issue.
So I am looking fora alertaivve.. probably a Aveton or Lectric xp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So I decided on the Lectric xp lite. For 799.00 I took the chance.
I can't believe the quality and ride for the money. I can't even lift my Mini into a vehicle, the XP lite weighs about 45 pounds and easily fit into my friends car. I rode it and like the simplicity, single speed and because of the lighter weight felt as quick as my Mini.
One big thing I liked was fully assembled and unlike my Mini all the wiring is nicely bundled My Rads wiring looks like a diy project.

I keep my bike indoors.  The dog doesn't like the moving process.
I charge my battery in a old metal milk crate sitting in front of me with a rope attached going out the door.
I know my fire extinguisher will not put a battery out. I can drag it out.
