I picked up quick release pedals and the bike will fit perfectly in the Craftsman 50 Gallon Tote w/wheels.  And the best part is it actually fits in my Prius.

General Chat / LCD Screen Theft Deterrent
April 02, 2022, 01:58:58 PM
Has anyone come across any deterrent for LCD Screen Theft on their Rad Power Bike?   I'm going to put a siren/alarm on the bike but was wondering if anyone else had good recommendations.

Ddaybc,

How that is real cool.  All I'm trying to do is get to a point where the breaks don't have to be adjust ever other time I ride.  The issue from what I understand it is with the mechanical calipers very hydraulic calipers.  Thank you fro the tip.  I will check with my bike shop to see about this type of change up.

Awesome and thank you for the tip!

General Chat / Re: Upgrading a Rad Expand?
April 02, 2022, 08:33:14 AM
It is my understanding that the Rad Expand went to a 4" tire.  I'm reading that if you are riding on the road this bike should be okay.  Of road the recommendation is not to fill the tires to the max to soften the ride.  Otherwise this bike is not for you.  Again this is what I have been hearing on allot of the reviews.

I think I'm going to put removable pedals on my RadExand 5 then way I can put it into the Craftsman 50 Gallon Tote

I've seen that the Craftsman 50 Gallon Tote that they sell at Lowe's will work for the RAD Mini but the Rad Mini came with folding pedals.  The pedals on the RadExpand 5 do not fold.  So I don't think this tote is going to be wide enough.  So I'm back to looking for the ideal tote for RadExpand 5.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks

Okay so now I'm back to looking the aluminum.  The KINEKT comes in a length of 350mm and 420mm.  Does anyone know if the 420mm length will work on the RADExpand 5?

General Chat / Kinekt Seat Post

Looking at the Kinekt Seat Post that you have has a recommended seat post for the RAD power bikes (specifically RADExpand 5).  I realize that I need to get a 27.5mm diameter but struggling with the length.  The SR Suntour that Rad sells is 27.2 mm x 400 mm.  So I figure I would need a legnth of 400mm on the Kinekt.  Unfortunately the carbon fiber max length is 380mm and the aluminum comes in a length of either 350mm or 420mm.  The Carbon Fiber comes in a length of 330mm or 380mm.  What is the best fit length for the RadExpand 5?  Does anyone know?

Thanks folks ... I guess I will bring the bike to my local bike shop.  Sounds like it is possible.

Thanks but I have a folding bike requirement. :(

Is there anyone that can make a recommendation on Tote for the RadExpand 5?  I'm trying to squeeze this thing into the back of my Plugin Prius with the seats down so I would really appreciate a recommendation

I'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade the mechanical disc brakes on the Rad Expand 5 to hydraulic disk breaks?  If so, has anyone had any success?

Has anyone tried using the Cascade Manufacturing Rack Deck Plate Compatible with Topeak MTX (https://amzn.to/3DuZtyB) on the RAD Expand 5?  I'm just trying to find out if anyone had any compatibility issues.
