Had one fall so far, all on me tho! was probably pushing it too much on a rough trail that was too technical for me, I wasn't standing up on the pedals like I should have been and the bike went out from under me and I sort of got caught underneath it, heavy thing when you're lying under it. Lucky enough the ground was soft enough so I didn't injure myself, apart from my pride!

Nope!
Too heavy and bulky, I'd need a second bag to carry it if i was getting groceries, was thinking of getting cable ties, maybe metal ones, wouldn't be much of a solution really. Poor design a lock that anyone can open and a lock that won't disable the battery. I have a friend who's a locksmith, might ask him if theres any solutions that he can dream up.

Had a puncture the other day so I can confirm after examing the tire and repairing the puncture the tire preassure recommended is 30 psi, I did have them around 25 but at the moment theyre at 20.

hello

I am a fan of Radpower. i want to order a same model of radpower as you ordered . but I have a little worry, i dont know if the bike arrive as flat pack or completed build bike . if anybody knows ,please let me know. also I wonder any service partner in Dublin for Radpower

Hi,
I'm not sure which model you are thinking of, the one I got was a Rad Rhino 6 plus.

The bike ships from the Nederlands it comes in a big box the assembly is simple enough it has all the tools to do it, the front wheel has to be attached and the pedals and the front mudguard and light, thats about it.

Sorry don't know of any bike places in Dublin.

RadRover / Re: RadRover 6+ Brake Pads

I'm also looking for replacement brake pads for my Radrihno EU spec, does anyone know what the dimensions of the stock pads? no info on Rad's site, I've already emaild support but no answer from them!
The ones I'm looking at are 'Clarks Organic Disc Brake Pads for Avid Elixir Cr/Elixir R/Elixir, SRAM Xx, Spring Inc'. Also these that mention Nutt - 'CYCEARTH 4 Pairs Bicycle Bike Disc Brake Pads for SRAM Avid Elixir E1 E3 E5 E7 E9 CR XO XX DB1 DB3 DB5 NUTT oil brake(Semi-Metallic/Sintered Metal) (Semi-Metallic)'
Very confused with all the different numbers!

My front brake is feeling a bit spongy, might need to be adjusted I'm not sure yet! I looked at Rad's eu site and they have the Tektro E10.11 mentioned but in the compatibility section they state:
All ebike models except RadRhino 6 Plus and RadCity 5 Plus, I have the RadRhino 6 Plus so cant use those, it's not very helpful when they don't list the appropriate accessories on their site for the bikes they're selling.

Really poor design, obviously Rad doesn't think anyone will be parking the nike and leaving it unattended!
The best I can do at the moment is chain it up if I'm going into a shop or something, I certainly will not park it up for an extended amount of time, even chained up someone could tamper with it and maybe damage the bike.
I asked before about putting the battery into suspend mode, but nobody knew anything about it.

I'm in a valley in South Tipp and while we have a nice Blueway along the river Suir it can get flooded easy enough, last month I went through a flooded path, I had visions of me pushing the bike out of the flood and stripping it down and drying it out but the bike held up ok!

Hey All,
Been a while since I've been on, weather wasn't great the last while so riding around wasn't too frequent, anyway things are getting better now and I've been out more often.
Theres a hill near me is around 1K and a rise of about 90m so average slope of 11% and I've no bother cycling up that, thats at a mid gear and PSA 5, I've seen guys on non Ebikes out of the saddle and putting in a good bit of work to get up it. Some of the other hills would be much more steep but I'm sure I'll try some of them during the Summer. I haven't really done any hills at a walking pace, just whatever I'm comfortable at I guess slowest would be around 10/12K an hour.

Hi FTM
Yeah i've around 25 PSI and seems to be grand, I didn't do anything with the skewer - wheel didn't fall off yet   ;)

Cheers

Good to know
on my RadRhino 6 today I was out at about 4/5 Km from home when the battery showed two bars, after a hill or two it was down to 1, I turned off the light and peddled about 3 Km with 0 assist, first gear up hills kept the little bit of juice remaining for one long hill and a steep short one to home.

Thought Id have cardiac arrest within 500 m of home up a steep hill. I noticed on this hill that even though I had level 5 assist on I don't think it was giving any assist at all, I was out of the saddle and barely making headway, when I dismounted at home and checked there were no bars showing on the battery at all, so I'm not sure how much I finally peddled on 0 assist.
Legs were a bit shakey for a while after!

i had done 35K over the last two days without charging (the battery indicated half charged 5 bars) and intended something similar, but only after 34K the battery was showing 0, I would have thought it would have managed more distance that a total of 60K.

So I reckon I need to charge it to full each journey or risk getting stuck with a dead battery someplace.

I was surprised that this feature is omitted, does anyone know how to put the battery into transit mode? I read somewhere that you can receive a battery and it may not turn on because it's in this special mode. Holding the button down on the battery for a few seconds will olace it in live mode apparently.

I had bought a "Xiaomi Mi Pump Air Compressor" and it's the best thing ever. It takes a few seconds to pull the tire pressure to my target and I haven't re-charged it more than 2 times in the 7 months I've been using it. I feel it's a great value for money, not sure if it exists on US shops

I've one of those, it's great, no bother pumping the tires and it's light enough too and good value.

Hi from County Tipp, Ireland,
Just got delivery of my bike yesterday after a of wait 9 weeks!!  I wasn't expecting it to be so big and heavy, the delivery guy and myself manhandled it out of his van.
already broke off a piece, small piece but yeah hope it's not going to be a trend!

After half an hour putting it together, I managed to break the front wheel thumbnut, well the rubber part, separated from the skewer, I managed to get the front wheel on anyway, anyone know what size the skewer is, I might get a locking one instead of the stock skewer

Took it out for a spin, really good on the hills I must say. One other question! I couldn't find much info on tire pressures, I pumped the tires to 24 PSI it was very bumpy on uneven ground does anyone know where I'd get info on this, the manual says it's printed on the tires but I couldn't see it.
Oh yeah before I set off for the first outing I was confronted with this Error   30  I thought I'd have to check every connector on the bike lucky enough it was one of the ones I hadn't done right phew!
Anyway thats it for now, I'll be probably back asking more questions as time goes on!
