Title: Flooded Bikes
Post by: Kellri2001 on November 30, 2022, 05:16:40 PM
I purchased two Rad city bikes a year ago and they were submerged in 31 in of flood water from hurricane Ian.

The question: Is it worth trying to repair.

I washed the bikes down with fresh water ASAP but have not tried  to date to see if they will run (priority has been trying to get the house livable).

Thanks for any feedback

Ebikes are considered a motor vehicle and not covered by flood insurance.

That's a bummer, In Wisconsin E-bikes are not considered motor vehicles.

Ebikes are considered a motor vehicle and not covered by flood insurance.

all of those is going to depend on the particular policy in the particular state.

for example, my bike is not covered by homeowner's or rental insurance.

they are covered by the specific insurance i purchased for my bike.
