Title: Wiring after market light bar
Post by: Radbrad215 on October 27, 2022, 06:42:18 AM
Looking for more light output and figured Id give it a shot. Heres what I ordered, wired everything up, but no luck.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Ive wired up 12v lights before on my 4x4s so I THINK I know what I am doing?.

12 volts not 12 watts.

@DickB was referring to the step down converter you listed. It is a 12 watt model. It's undersized to power an 18 watt light.

So I guess purchasing a 48v light would work best for this application?

You just need to use the other model of that same step down transformer that supports 24 watts instead of 12 watts.
