Title: Off the grid charging
Post by: Dazud on June 06, 2021, 04:52:20 PM
My wife and I are heading into the mountains for several weeks and will be camping off the grid.  We love our Rad Rovers and will take them along, knowing they will add to our enjoyment of exploring abandoned roads etc.  I am seeking recommendations on what others have done to charge their bikes while off the grid. We will have two bikes. Our small camper has a small solar panel to keep its battery charged.  Do I get a small gas powered generator or go with a solar powered power station?   Thanks for your guidance in advance.

You can get a small generator like a Honda (expensive but good quality) that is almost silent and can be used for phones as well.
Solar panels set up to charge some 12v batteries. Then run the standard Rad charger on an inverter.
Also Costco has some cheaper small genets.

They make solar cell panels for campers you mount on the roof or just set out everyday.
