There are ways to make studded tires that I saw a long time ago. It required a tuffy  liner according short screws through your tire. I have never tried this though.
I went looking for 20-in studded tires are never found any. In fact most instead of tires were completely sold out for all sizes of wheels.
There was an article about new heaters that go inside your handlebars but I couldn't seem to find that article now. Each channel bar was rechargeable at the end

General Chat / Re: Flats are the worst!

I recently got a huge screw in the back wheel of my mini well I'm the way to receive my second covid vaccine shot. I ended up walking to convenience store locking it up outside and catching an Uber to my vaccine appointment.

I'm in the process of putting in the tan tuffy liners. Not that the liner will prevent the large screw from going through a tire but I also have slime in my wheels. I  bought the tuffy liners quite a while ago but I never put them in because the slime was working so well.

I had never removed the back wheel from my bike and I'm glad that I never tried to do it on the street because it seemed to be a lot tighter than 40 nm.  I ended up using a longer handled socket wrench to remove the nut.

I too am waiting for the tennis armor for 20-in wheels. it's kind of annoying that it's not out there or there's no alternative. However I don't think tannus armor would have prevented the flat but I think you would have been able to ride it home .

On the podcast how I built this there is an interview with the founder of rad power how we got started. It was really good to hear things on the founder's own words.

General Chat / Re: Anti-theft alarms and locks

I have one of those disc brake alarms from Amazon. I still have really yet to use it. I normally rely on my Abus xplus 540 and kryptonite New York LS locks for my mini.
I really need to do something about the quick release on my front wheel so I don't have to worry about it being stolen. I've yet to find a solution.

The seat post is 27.2mm in diameter. Below is the seat post I have on my RadMini right now.

https://amzn.to/2LfQzOo

Please note that this one and the one you linked to are 350 mm long. I'm 5' 10" but have long legs, and have my seat as high as it will go. If this might be an issue for you, then look for a seat post that is 400 mm long.
Did that seatpost make the saddle more comfortable or have you replaced your saddle from the stock one?

General Chat / Re: Tires on new mini

The tires on the 2020 mini are very loud. I almost would love better street tires but with the way the weather's been here lately those big lugs on the tires have made me feel a little more secure in the snow

Sorry I don't have my bike immediately available but if you pull your seat tube all the way out it's actually marked on the bottom

I think the US version is also 500 watts advertised as a 750. There is a YouTube video out there where they compare what a 500 and a 750 motor look like and the weight difference.
I'm not sure if this will help a little or not but you can go into the settings on the display and remove the limitations. I think that if you do this you change the designation of the e-bike and I am unsure of Canada's e-bike restrictions.

I had no idea that bike was 50 lb.
The weight of my mini does bother me a bit.

Thank you so much. My imagination is running wild right now. I thought this would have come to a lot more in total cost.
I commute at night and early hours of the morning. It's getting pretty cold here and my hands are struggling a little when it drops below 20 f. So I was looking for heated gloves and a way to power and charge them. It appears I have an answer now , [emoji16]

I guess it depends what is considered a cycle. If I look on my laptop and go into a certain section on my pixelbook I can see how many deep cycles it has had. I believe a cycle is being charged from below 50% but I am not positive on this as only what I have kind of seen and read. The same kind of charging and cycling also replies to everyone's cell phones or any other lithium storage system.

I agree with this 80% rule. It's also really good to use on your cell phones or any other lithium based energy storage solution.
I really need to buy one of these charges. Thank you for posting these.
