Got my replacement shipped a few weeks ago and the velofix team took care of the install. Bike rides great again and I didn?t have much downtime during the winter.

The lock must be properly installed so that it won't unlock easily. Also, you can seek help from local locksmith to prevent it from theft.
Do you know what the discussion is about?

Following up on this, while the initial issue was very frustrating, I am more than satisfied with the solution for the moment. Rad shipped the new components to me and the velofix technician came onsite to install them. Great service overall. I had a few warmer days here in Ontario already that allowed me to ride and test and the wagon rides very well now.

Get an egg rider display and a thumb throttle for comfort and then an extra battery from Rad. I also got nicer handlebar grips, a suspension seatpost and a more comfy seat for my ride.

No acknowledgement email here and support hasn?t answered in days. Frustrating and unprofessional to say the least.

When submitting the form, did you get any kind of acknowledgment email? I didn?t and contacting Rad on this also led to no response after more than two business days.

Hi all just registered, I have the RW4 which I have stored at our holiday caravan when we went there this summer the rear tyre had blown out while stored in caravan. It had blown with enough force to damage the perspex wheel guard. Mine is one with ribbed tyre, the reason for the bike was for use on holiday with disabled daughter on back. Didn't want not to have any use all summer being a motorcycle rider I had seen online about the pirelli city demon tyre, so got 2 tyres and fitted them with new tubes aswell. I covered 200 miles on cycle trails with them on. They seem to be much better than the vee tyres but a bit more heavy. So if stuck until stock comes in 18 inch city demon work well.
Could you please post a link to the exact model that you purchased if possible? Thank you for sharing your experience so far, really appreciate it.

And here I am thinking we?re using the metric system in Canada?

Personally I?d pick the city for a commuter bike, it looks like a comfortable cruiser.

RadWagon / Re: Tannus Armour tire insert for Radwagon 4
« on: May 21, 2022, 05:20:37 AM »
Had a flat in the middle of the new tire after just two days riding with Tannus. I couldn?t locate a puncture hole in the tire or the Tannus so I suspect the tube was just low quality to begin with.

Any recommendation for a good 22 x 1.75 tube? Luckily my flat was in the front tire as changing the rear with a mounted Conestoga is a bit tricky.

Seb, I have a lot of problems adjusting settings on mine, the display always disconnects from the app after a few seconds. I can ride it in the default settings I got from Big Game Bikes but am unable to adjust my speed limit. How easy is it on yours to change settings via the app?

There is a known hardware issue with recent eggrider models, the team are readying a replacement for everyone having bluetooth connection issues, head over to the eggrider bitbucket, you will need to register.

Thanks much, submitted the form and hope they reach out to me soon.

RadWagon / Re: Child Seat Woes

Did you choose a seat?   I really want something a little more protective than the smaller seats and probably over thinking all the choices.
The Yepp seats are a really good choice in my opinion and the easyfit system makes them quick to install and to remove when needed.

Hi, The Radwagon 4 is great. Here is how it should have been built:

1) One battery is unsafe. I have run out with both kids on the back a few times and it's horrible. The range they state in not even close. I added a 52v 2nd battery. Note location in photos.
2) It's slow and unsafe stock. Added a Bolton controller. It pulls hard up hills and goes close to 35MPH. Plus the range with two is great.
3) REALLY unsafe stock brakes. I tried cable pull hydraulic , they are terrible after a short time. I added front and back Avid code 4 piston brakes with 203mm SRAM rotors
4) Trailer hitch (gas pipe) and trailer (amazon). You can carry everything needed and not get sand or whatever in your car plus park right where you camp or whatever.
5) Simple side mirror
6) true 750w Bafang Hubbody
7) extra tube, tire irons and 4 C02 (i have got 3 flats over the last year and had to call friends. Now I can fix a flat on the side of the road)
8) One Up rack - I can put this heavy bike on this rack and go places...

definitely a cool set up, but one of the lures of Rads are their relative affordability, and with your set up, that bike isn't staying under 2k.

I would definitely love an extra battery set up on my Rad Rover 6+, but I'm too afraid of burning something out. :D
It would be cool if Rad had these items as options when placing an order, so you’d get them mounted on the frame before it ships.

So far I’ve added the small basket, a suspension seat post, a better saddle, the caboose and Conestoga, Tannus armour, hydraulic brakes, new grips.

That looks cool! Now please share some photos when the bike is fully loaded so we can see how you placed all the tools, bags etc!
