I was watching the Electrek review of the RadCity 5 Plus and there was mention that the speed unlock is still on the new Plus models. It seems like it hasn't been found yet from my research but I'll post any updates here.

If you decide to purchase one please consider using the forums links to Rad's site prior to purchase. I'll hopefully get my hands on one soon for a full review. My quick take is it is pretty easy to justify the extra $200 compared to the other RadCity models. Curious to hear what others think.

I am trying to compare the RadMini and Lectric XP 2.0 when it comes to gearing. Particularly when it comes to the high gears.

The RadMini has a 48T crankset up front with an 11-34T freewheel.
The Lectric XP has 52T crankset up front with 14-28T freewheel.

Any experts want to weigh in on which one has higher gearing to be able to continue to pedal at higher speeds? Thanks!

Edit: In doing research these are the gear ratios for the highest gear:
4.36 - RadMini
3.71 - Lectric XP 2.0

Lowest gear:
1.41- RadMini
1.85 - Lectric XP 2.0

So the RadMini has better gearing on the top and low end and is thus more versatile. Let me know if you agree

The motor is now not functioning at all. At first it was intermittent, we'd have to turn on/off the bike and it would work for a little bit. Now it is completely dead though we do hear a ringing sound from the motor when engaging the throttle. The watts on the display also jump when hitting the throttle. Rad's response was that the new motor on order should fix this issue though the bummer is there is no estimate for when a new wheel assembly will ship. Curious if anyone has run into a similar problem. Fortunately, we have plenty of other ebikes to ride but the Wagon is our family-mobile. We're resorting to the Burley for now.

New RadWagon 4 no longer displaying mph on the display. It is not on avg or max speed. Anyone have any thoughts?

I recently put together a RadWagon 4 and the deflopilator screw which attaches to the front fork had pulled out. I thought it had just come unscrewed but upon further inspection the inside threads had stripped out. Do I try tapping this? Any additional thoughts here? I thought I could do without it but it actually does help to keep the bike straight.
