Paniers for RadRunner PLUS
« on: March 25, 2021, 09:17:32 AM »
Has anybody tried to install any kind of Panier system on the RadRunner Plus without removing the nice cushy seat? Any help would be welcome!

I've been looking at the set below from Amazon.  I haven't tried them yet as I am still awaiting delivery of my bike.

It looks to me like you would be able to cut/drill holes in the fabric top for the bolts to pass through so that you could mount it between the seat and rack.

How did this work out?  Thinking the same.  Let me know, thanks!

Put the passenger seat on over the panniers and had to poke two holes in the top of them for the bolts to pass over.  Works great.  Actually have the grey ones bought off of Amazon.

I've ordered these. I hope I can remove the seat pad, install panniers, cut holes where the seat pad bolts go and reinstall seat pad. That should sandwich the panniers on the bike quite well. We shall see soon... after they arrive.

If these don't work well, I'll get these Sunlite folding metal baskets from amazon.

Thank you for the tip! I ordered those bags and did as you suggested. It's a nice addition!

There are some YouTube videos where people made the seat lift up kind of like a console. They also used large plastic knobs on the bolts to quickly undo the front of the seat so it could be lifted up. This might be an alternative to drilling holes for your bags

I have the RR+ and I got the ones from RPB and they are ok to work with the seat but, they cover the foot pegs and not really feasible to use with rear seat installed, made it near impossible to remove but, made seat unusable.

I got a pair of Vincita from Amazon. They’re throw over panniers, so I punched holes where the seat bolts go through.

These are great. Didn’t need to modify them at all. They are the XL model made by Basil. Each side holds a full shopping bag easily.
