RadMini / Re: who is it for

I'm going to get myself in trouble for this post because it makes some broad assumptions (stereotypes) about women but here goes.  Of course, there are plenty of exceptions, but in general I would say that it's good for women because it has the low step-through bar and accommodates shorter folks a little better.  As far as portability goes, I think the bike is too heavy for most women to fold and lift into vehicles.  I'm a pretty strong guy and it is no joke to move it around.

Wow, $500 sounds like a pretty good deal.  Of course it can't really be shipped very easily.  Whereabouts are you in the world?

UPDATE:  I received my Mini yesterday and changed the speed setting to 25.  I was still getting motor assistance up until about 22 mph on a smooth, flat surface.  I was also able to do throttle-only up to about 22 mph.

Thanks for that; good to know a newly-shipped Mini was still upgradeable.  I get 22-23 as well with mine, but I'm not a little guy so that's probably a factor.

I seem to recall that throttle-only performance is somewhat dependent on the pedal-assist setting even if not pedaling, but I'm not certain.  Need to test that out for myself someday.

Same - I run about 220 so a smaller person might be able to squeeze out a little more speed.  I did see 23 mph for a couple of brief seconds but I was definitely maxed out at that point.  It's good enough for me, this thing is a blast.

I think as a RAD mini owner it is a  more elegant choice with more of everything.

Definitely agree, the Lectric seems "cheaper" in most ways but may be a good option for someone like my wife, who wouldn't ride half as much as me.

Ah man, my Mini is on the way and I was hoping to bump it to 25 mph in the settings.  Too bad.  I'm sure 20 mph will be fine for a year until the warranty runs out, then we'll change out that controller.  Dangit.

Great video, I'm really interested in the comparison between these two bikes.  Seems like the Lectric is a pretty decent budget choice and is a bit faster than the Rad Mini (I've seen the same thing in another video).  Another aspect I'm not sure you mentioned (I may have missed it) is the fact that the Lectric comes with a rear rack standard but that is an add-on for the Rad Mini.  Again, thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.
