I have a different rack, Saris MTR.

After ensuring there was not an issue with internal clearance, i used a pair of license plate holder screws and captive nuts. Just drill a hole and press in the captive nut.

I have attached some pics.

I used the same CURT-53201 Auxiliary LED lighting for turn signals for my bike rack.

I spliced in this license plate holder to the turn signals.

RadCity / Re: Locking RadCity Step-Thru with 2 U-locks

No matter what you do to secure your bike, a determined thief will find a way. No sense overthinking it, just don't make it easy. For the most part we are trying to prevent the opportunist theft. Your locks seem reasonable.

I have the ABUS frame lock with the adapter chain. The frame lock is basically where you show the rear lock (just above the struts going down to the rear axel. The chan adapter loops through the front wheel just above the fender struts,  then attaches to the frame lock. I also have the ABUS folding lock through the rear wheel and frame for longer stops.

I also put a cable through the frame and saddle rails. It keeps the saddle tethered even with the quick disconnect. I can quickly readjust the saddle if needed, but it will take tools to remove it.

Service & Repair / Re: USB charger not working
August 25, 2021, 05:04:39 PM
On my RCST3 I have to plugin and turn on the USB device before I turn on the bike. If I try to connect after I turn on the bike there is no power to the USB.

You may have a different setup, but it is worth a shot.

There are a few manufacturers for a double bottle cage adapter that bolts to the front basket mount. They fit between the basket and the bike if you have both.

https://amzn.to/2WnV5Af

I chose this one for the multiple mount positions and the ability to mount on a tilt.

From what I can tell, this was the original.

Here is a cheaper clone.

I picked this one for the multiple mount positions and the option to tilt.

It is not just Rad. This deceptive practice is widespread in online sales. As soon as the shipping label is printed, they claim the item has shipped. It may sit on the dock for a week or more before the shipper actually picks it up. The seller can claim rapid processing and shipping. I've had several Amazon packages done the same way by third party sellers.

Remember that their service prioty is to the least recently updated tickets. This keeps tickets from going stale. Sending an email asking about the status of your ticket will be attached to your ticket and count as an update. You just put yourself at the end of the list.

Could it be that the strut from the fender to the hub is not tight enough. It looks like the bump is causing it to rotate. If it was tighter it might offer more resistance to the rotation and stay in place.

But, after multiple incidents, your willingness to suffer another incident may be waning. How often do you ride in wet conditions that would give you the mud racing stripe?

Their shipping priorities and communication are hard to understand. I was waiting for the front basket to be in stock to make an accessory order. I finally gave up and placed the order. I received the tracking number for the order. A week later, the front basket was in stock and I placed a second order, and received the tracking number. The basket was picked up by FedEx before the first order.

The setup instructions for my RadCity ST 3 have you install the front wheel before installing the fender.
