Hi Folks,  I should say first that because this web site is seen all over the world, that I reside in Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia Canada, and I can NOT ship these bikes.
I bought these 2 TWO RadRover 6's during the time when the bikes were back ordered, and I lived in the south Cariboo region of my province. 1.5 yrs ago.
I've only had them in my position 1 yr. and they have only been ridden twice, maybe 3 times total.  One of the bikes is what I would call "man style" with the bar across,.... and the other is a step through style. I haven't checked for the exact kms ridden but would doubt very much if either have been rode 50kms. The "nubs" are still on the tires. We originally thought we would ride in our rural district of "the Cariboo, but We decided to make a physical move back to the coast/lower mainland. We are both retired and find the traffic in the "big city" too intimidating and scary for riding.   This is the reason for selling them. We paid $2500 plus for each bike not including the front bike basket and mirrors.  The bike alone is selling online now for $1899. Cdn funds Plus tax.  with no additions / extras.  These are truly "LIKE NEW"  They each come with their own charging stations as well. Lights, fenders, kickstands........  Id like to recoup some of my retirement funds back and will sell both for $3600. CDN
My name is Rick and I can best be reached at  anyonelse2@gmail.com

Thx for looking

I'm guessing there aren't a lot of Canadians on this forum ...? and the reason there hasn't been much response to my post.  But I've been in touch with Rad and wrote again today, wondering if shipment is going to take place relatively soon. I also asked if there was a chance that I could pick up my order while I was in Vancouver. My original shipping date of "BY" Oct. has now come and gone, and wondering how much the backlog of container ships in the US is whats holding up delivery, and Rad isn't willing to be up front with the true answer. I'm also concerned that as the bikes will undoubtedly sit during my snowy, winter months where I live, if I'll end up having maybe half the warranty time on my 2 bikes.  That is probably my biggest concern at this point. I can't recall but figure that the warranty period is probably only one year. Maybe someone can clarify that.

Sorry I can't specifically help out, because I don't ride in rain or snow, but your situation is what pops to mind every time I see an e-bike, or any bike for that matter, touted as a "practical car replacement".

I'm on mine all the time in decent weather, for fun, exploring, exercise or running errands, but I'm keeping my SUV.

I'm going to be in much the same situation as you in not too long. I'm in the south Cariboo region of BC where there's "real" winter. But down on the coast, not so much. I have a snowmobile jacket shell that I use to wear long underwear under and maybe a lite sweater with sleeves. I was NEVER cold even in -25* C temps.. But I was always working hard at sidehilling, and in{10 -12 ft} DEEP]snow in the alpine, rarely sitting. It's a work out. You don't want to get stuck..Lol. anyway I digress,...  So I was thinking that I might try the "shell" and see how that works for me. There are numerous vents, it's light in weight, the zippers are sealed , it's water and wind proof. I won't be commuting to work as I'm retired and plan on using the RR 6 for exercise and as an alternative to the car sometimes.   I have a friend that rides up here 3 seasons of the year and I'll check with him to see what he wears. Ive seen him with what looks like a lite jacket with sealed vents and zippers. He buys the best of everything though so what he wears probably isn't cheap.  I'll let you know.

General Chat / Re: Rad Plus Models speed unlock
October 17, 2021, 09:51:30 AM
This is good news Ryan, thanks for doing the work.  I'm waiting on my 2 RR 6 plus bikes here in Canada. I think we are limited to a 500 watt motor here in this country, but I'm hoping thats just on paper and that we too can get ours to increase in top speed.

Thanks for your updates my fellow Canadians  ... I expect that the delivery of the Rad Runner was mainly because it's not a "new" model like the Rad Rover 6 plus is. It might have had something to do with the Rad assembly /delivery though.   But to hear that the msg is the same about solid delivery dates. I received an email today { Saturday } with assurance that Rad Power Bikes was expecting to be on time for delivery/shipping. BUT !!!  this could change.   :-\    anyway, all good news... Im keeping my fingers crossed.  Rad did say that shipping to Vancouver { where I expect it will be shipped up to me in the "south Cariboo" region.

Hi folks,... I'm located on the west coast of Canada in British Columbia and ordered my two { 2 } Rad Rover 6 bikes a few months ago with the expected shipping date of  " BY Oct 18th" . The key word there being "BY".   I've seen that there is a major backlog of container ships off the shore of L.A. in the USA..  With that in mind I've contacted Rad Power Bikes enquiring if there is any expectation of a later shipping date of Oct. 18th due to the backlog. Each time,... {twice}.. I've received an email back saying they didn't expect any change in the date. As recently as Oct 14th I have enquired again but to date I haven't had a response. Each other time they have responded within a day to my question{s}. .... So I'm very curious if any of the Canadian members of this forum have had notice that their E bikes are being shipped any time soon ? Or any news that there is going to be a delay in shipping for any reason ??   I have a feeling that I will get a response back saying that there is a delay or back order in place and not to expect my order any time soon, and blame the container ship backlog as the reason.   This bothers me for a few reasons,... one,.. I probably wont get to use my bikes much this year/season,  two... my down time of not being able to ride and try out the new bikes will eat into my warranty period,... and three... that I have paid in full with an online order with no product in sight.
To those in the USA that have received their bikes ...I'm happy for you. I've read that the new RR 6 is available via retail in some states.
But this is directed to Canadian online order customers. Thanks
Thanks for reading and I look fwd to some positive reply's.

Hello folks,

We are looking for a Bike rack for our Rad Rover STs. We are in Toronto and would like to hear what other people in Canada are using. I have seen the Hollywood racks and the others listed on the ebikereviews website but we are finding it difficult to find something up here. We are not adverse to ordering from the States but it seems that everyone is out of stock.

Canadians...Let me know what you are using to haul your bikes around.

Thanks!
Mike

Hi,.. not sure what the heck "jiuer" is posting about.....?  Im thinking you're wanting a fat tire bike carrier for your auto ?
This is what and from whom  I ordered...    Im in Canada over on the "wet coast".

I haven't received my 2 Rad Rovers yet but the carrier seems very solid.

Wow ,..just checked the Northern Tool ad I posted for the bike carrier and see it's "no longer available". I must have got one of the last ones.

General Chat / Bolt location
September 25, 2021, 02:14:32 PM
Hello Rad people,
I have a chance to purchase the front rack off either a ad Mini { ? } or a RR 5 . Can someone tell me if the 4 bolt location is the same on the front of the RR6 as the RR5 ?  Ive tried to attach a photo of the rack for sale.

Thx  !!

Just received a second RadRover 6 Plus Step-Thru.
I ordered one.

Once again, no email received about the shipment, but I guess others have noted that problem.

Now I get to even more of my time spend time fixing yet another error by Rad.

I don't want to sound like a complainer, but they seem to have some serious problems in the order fulfilment area.

Hi and congrats on the new Rad Rover 6.... but just to clear some things up... you originally ordered 1/one and mistakenly received a second one ??  What country are you in? USA I'm going to guess , and not Canada.... ??  So you have to send the 2nd one back now ??

RadRover / Re: RadRover 6 Plus Shipments?
September 12, 2021, 09:25:06 AM
  UPDATE #2 :
As promised I am back to let you know that I have heard back from someone at Rad E Bikes.
I basically asked "RAD" about the different information coming out from customers on the availability of the Rad Rover 6 Plus, here on this forum. The following is quoted from my email from them.

"Hi -----------,

Thanks for following up and offering your constructive feedback.

I do see that your order  is estimated to ship by mid-October. Our US and Canadian orders are fulfilled from different inventory because of the regulations from each Country. For example, most of our US bikes host 750 Watt motors, while our Canadian Bikes host 500 Watt motors. Each order is fulfilled in the same country in which it was placed, so this is why shipping estimates vary from the US to Canada.

I am sorry that you were provided with some differing information regarding fulfillment on in-stock inventory across Country lines. We are a big team, and information does change daily regarding back-orders, but regardless I am sorry that your experience with our Customer Service has not been clear. We are always trying to do better, and appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

We take your feedback to heart and really appreciate hearing what our customers are looking for in our products and services. We'll do our best to ensure that your suggestions make their way to our team so we can continue to improve the Rad experience for everyone.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any other feedback, questions, or concerns. I'm all ears!
You are also welcome to check out our Help Center for quick answers to common questions anytime.
Have a Great Day," end quote.

So there you have it,...maybe this helps everyone understand why the RR6+ is available to some and not to others...at this time. How some states and provinces rank in respect to availability is something you can contact rad yourself about.  In the mean time I'll keep my fingers crossed that Rad has a fair plan as to how they distribute the available bikes, and that the date they say is when we can expect shipment.

UPDATE :  after posting the post below, I thought I'd mention that I have now contacted the "help page" available on Rad's web site. I'm hoping it's not just a bot that is going to see it. I'm not convinced at this point that I'll get a response or any meaningful reply but I've asked for some clarification on the differing shipment and delivery information we are all getting and posting here.
I attached links to this site and the threads so they can see for themselves what people are saying. Again I have no reason to have faith at this point BUT "where you have no faith one needs to have hope".  I'll keep you people informed if and when I hear anything in response to my email to Rad.

Well I'm going to jump in on this thread...I started another thread asking about delivery issues and if we can expect delays
{due to manufacturing }

Anyway.... I see others are claiming to have received their new Rad Rover 6 plus, regular and step through models. Good news !!. I'd like to know how many that HAVE received the RR6+  live in the USA and who is in Canada. Personally I live in BC Canada. and like "SookieWasHere"  have a "shipping date"  of  BY October 18th. .... after hearing about some people saying they have their RR6+ already and some saying they are available in store in San Diago USA ...I called the retail store in Vancouver BC Canada. The person there told me that the RR^+'s were "not available anywhere in the world".  ....So there's my story ! I have not received ANY news on my order of 2 Rad Rover 6 plus's.  Just a personal request to those taking the time to read and maybe respond to future posts here, would you please mention which state or province you are residing in...please ??  It will help to see WHERE the bikes are actually being distributed to.

Like I said in "MY" separate post...I'm sure Rad E Bikes monitors these forums to some degree and are aware of their customers concerns. So it would be nice if someone on behalf of Rad Bikes would sign up and give us some REAL information. It would set customers at ease and would alleviate some of their many calls that they MUST be getting.
