Radrunner(+) ideal u-lock length

I'm looking to decide on a U-lock length for my RR+ - My main lock is an Abus Bordo folding lock ( 6500 ) and I want to double up from the Abus line with a u-lock as I can order it with the same key.

Length options are at 230mm & 300mm - I'm certain the 300mm would be ideal but wondering if anyone has gotten a U-lock at ~230mm ( 9" ) and if it works well - mostly to minimize bulk and gain a bit on weight

No experience myself but with the bulk of the frames and the unknown of what you'll be locking to I always prefer the longer locks if it is an option.
