Title: swapping the core of a 500Wbefang with a 750W core

I have ordered a bare, full sized 750 W bafang core for my Bolton upgraded 2020 Rad Rover step thru. I have read a lot about folks saying how much of a pain getting the original cassette off is and the special tool required to get around the electrical connectors and how it's easier to just put a new cassette on the new core to avoid all of that.
My question (for those who have already done this) is did you need anything else to complete this job beyond the Torx t20 bit/ lock tight & lithium grease?

Other than the special tool to loosen the cassette, nothing else is needed.

I'm curious why you would want to replace the stock 750 watt Rover motor (Bafang) with another 750 watt Bafang motor? The only Rad bike with a 500 watt motor is the Mission.

The Rad motor will handle 1600 watts easy, and has more low end torque than the Bolton motor. But if you want a bit more speed, swap it out.

For steps with a complete motor core with the magnet housing and gears: take the wheel off the bike, remove the freewheel with the special tool, remove the Torx screws holding the motor in the case, put an axle nut on the opposite side to protect the threads, then thump the wheel on a piece of wood to pop the motor free, then remove the axle nut and pull the motor out. Put some lithium grease on the nylon gears and spread it around if it does not already have some. Too much just makes a mess and had no benefit. You'll have to shift the motor back and forth until all the gears mesh and it drops in, and you have to line up the screw holes as well.

Altema, I think the new area 13 replacement motor cores are different than what you have been using. They come as just the core now and not a complete motor. Check the picture in there ad and let use know what you think.

Yes, I saw that just after I posted. Smart move, and you don't wind up with empty motor cases laying around, but I expected a lower price.
