I've done nothing to protect my 35A controller on my Radrunner+, but I'd really like to relocate the controller to under the passenger seat. The last time I looked, finding the right cables was an issue

I'd say getting the Simple Machines Forum software up to date is a good start, I expect the captcha solution has improved a bit since the last update

Maybe it's worth doing a controller upgrade then getting a different type of sensor, saw Grin Tech do a video on it the other day.

It certainly piqued my curiosity, maybe if I feel like my 35A controller isn't enough someday

:) Has anyone upgraded the 35amp controller upgrade to their radrunner 1 here? if so what was your max speed?

I've done it on my radrunner+, top speed is the same, how I get there is very different. Climbing the stupid steep and very long hill to my house is much easier too, I can sustain close to 30kph where I'd do well to sustain 15.

I'm interested in this too. I'm running the 35A controller, but I don't bike in the rain. I'd like to relocate my controller to underneath the passenger but finding the necessary cables is proving difficult.

You can thank regulations for the 500w limit on a motor that's almost definitely capable of peaking higher. Have you considered an aftermarket controller?

I guess my experience is different. I live about 2km up a large hill, with some very steep sections and while more power would make it easier and it does require pedaling I've never really felt the bike was struggling, but it won't climb at full speed for sure. My wife has the Trivel Azteca fat Tire ebike and it does climb a bit easier, but it has more gears and a front hub motor.

This is a hill I've never been able to climb on any bicycle, I've had to get off and push on the steepest spots even as a teen when I was better conditioned and biking every day, everywhere.

As happy as I am with the RadRunner+, I do have the Area13 35A controller on order. I have a feeling that's what it'll take to keep up with my wife.

RadRunner / Motorcycle tail box?

Has anyone mounted something like this to their RR/RR+?

I'm still waiting on my RR+, so I can't check the spacing of the passenger seat pad mount bolts but it seems possible something like this could work.
