I need to replace my battery and I saw that there are new chargers now on rads site.
Does the new battery charger run cooler than the old charger? What are people's experience with a new charger and is it worth buying one?

General Chat / Rad Fat Tire Wheel Lock experience
August 29, 2023, 05:02:09 AM
Has anyone purchased the fat tire wheel lock from Rad especially to a rad runner plus?
I have wanted one of these Cafe locks for a long time and they are extremely beneficial to commuters.
How easy are they to install?
What's your user experience with the lock?
Do they rattle while riding?

RadRunner / Handlebar extension
February 15, 2022, 05:54:56 AM
Has anyone successfully found a handlebar extension that fits on the cross bar of the handlebars?
The cross bar is oval on my runner plus and the regular handlebar extensions don't clamp down far enough to use

General Chat / Reflective tape
January 05, 2022, 10:26:26 PM
Looking for suggestions on brand of reflective tape to add to my bikes. I've read reviews on Amazon and they don't seem that great. Seems like the really nice tape that's highly reflective doesn't like to be applied to round objects.
I'm most curious if anyone's used the black reflective tape and how well that works. I've never seen it in the wild.

General Chat / Battery weight. Old versus new
January 05, 2022, 10:22:52 PM
Is it my imagination or do the new batteries weight less than the old batteries?
My old battery is from my mini 4 2020 versus my Rad Runner Plus that's 4 weeks old. I don't have a scale to weigh them. The difference doesn't seem that great. Both batteries fit between both bikes.

When entering the settings of the display on the Rad runner Plus is the wheel size 20-in or 22-in on the stock settings of the display?

Service & Repair / Wheel bearings
October 19, 2021, 12:38:16 PM
Has anyone serviced their wheel bearings? What size cone wrenches do you need for the front of the mini 4? What about the rear wheel? What kind of bearing setup does it have? I have not been able to find any info on the net about this any help would be greatly appreciated.

Service & Repair / Flat out vs slime for punctures
October 19, 2021, 12:35:19 PM
Has anybody used flat out instead of slime and their inner tubes? I'm currently running flat out in my tubes along with tannus armor.
The video below is from Bolton e-bikes testing the various antipuncture measures one can use.

Service & Repair / Blue loctite
February 10, 2021, 09:37:00 AM
Should a person use blue loctite on their rear axle bolts?
Where else should a person use blue loctite on their bikes? I have read that handlebar and stem bolts should be blue loctite. Mudguard s and the mounting hardware seems to come and done and the blue lock type should be used there. At least this is what I have read.

I received an email several months ago regarding possible Stem  riser bolt clamp loosening.
Well my handlebars started creaking so I took a good look at the email and followed the instructions and tightened the bolts and now no more creak.
The one bolt was extremely loose.
I have not found this information in this forum so thought rad owners should know.
