Our first Rad ride together was today. We had a warm spell with rain and lots of wind, which cleared the snow and ice off the nearby (only 230 meters away) trail, a former railbed.
Weather conditions were: temperature +1^oC, wind SSW 19 km/h gusting 31, mostly clear.

Right: my wife's RadMini ST2, which we had bought from a friend for CAD$1200 in early September, I think. The previous owner had only 10 km on the odometer.
Left: my RadExpand 5, brand-new, arrived Dec 6. The rear rack-top bag was one I found on one of our long-unused acoustic bikes. The straps did not fit, hence the bungee cords for now. I'm going to extend the strap with 3 inches of webbing salvaged from a broken folding camp chair and re-sew the velcro strips 3" along the new end.

I just ordered a RadExpand 5 from radpowerbikes.ca on November 29, the day before they bumped them back up to regular price (whew!). Also a saddle bag and a mirror.

I got an email that it was fulfilled Thursday, Nov 30, along with a FedEx tracking number.
FedEx said expected delivery date was Friday December 1.
I go "Say whut?", then noticed that it was said to weigh only 0.5 pounds, and seemed to be headed for Chilliwack, BC. I live in New Brunswick, on the other side of the continent. Probably less than 100 km

So, I got to the Rad support site and started an online chat with "Drew", who managed to determine that I had been given the wrong tracking number. There should have been 3 tracking numbers, which he then gave me. Sure enough, they had a New Brunswick final destination, and an ETA of Tuesday, December 5. That sounds more like it. Yay for Drew! (I've had a couple of chats with him/her and got me some answers about different things.)

But then, the new three-piece parcel tracking info says this:

Well, I guess somebody in Chilliwack got . . . something, anyway.

I went for a ride up a hill nearby (mostly to partially drain the battery for balancing) and I logged it with the Geo Tracker app (by Ilya Bogdanovich) for Android. I started and stopped the record in my driveway.

I find the altitude data rather confusing though.

Altitude difference	120 m
Max altitude	103 m
Min altitude	-16 m (there was one stretch lower than my driveway)
Vertical ascent	160 m
Vertical distance	309 m
Vertical speed	0.15 m/s

I would've thought that "altitude difference" would be from "altitude min" to "altitude max", or 16+103=119
I have no idea where the numbers come from for the last three.

[later] Ah. I can make a screenshot and attach it.
The biggest climb is going along the straight "pot handle" section from the lower left corner of the lake up the turn-off to "Beech Hill Park".
The side-trip through "Ogden Mill" was on the way back.

The bottom segments of the large 7-segments numbers are blank, but the other parts, like the lettering, "PAS", mode, lines, and battery meter are okay. See attached image.
The numbers do change to reflect current values.

Now, I'm not absolutely sure, but I think there have been times when I've powered the bike off and on, and the numbers displayed perfectly fine. I did a 13 km ride today and the numbers were incomplete for the entire trip.

I bought the bike from a friend with something like 10-15 km on the odometer, so I don't know the complete history, other than than she stored it indoors.

Any ideas?
At least it doesn't cripple the bike, and I can still figure out what it's supposed to read.
