Title: Rad City Step thru 3 Shifting Question
Post by: Steve Scott on July 25, 2020, 04:54:34 AM
Have Two New 2020 City Step thru 3 for one week now.
Really nice bikes, but one will Not Shift to the highest gear next to motor hub?
All smooth shifting for six gears but will not shift to larger cog, any suggestions would be very helpful, made all minor adjustments as per rads sight.
My wife bike shifts fine all thru seven gears???

We had a similar problem with our Rad City. Derailleur needs adjustment. A local bike shop should be able to do this in 2 minutes or less.  And, a LBS with good service is a benefit for all Rad owners!

Sometimes all that is needed is a little barrel adjustment. I did this on my other ebike and it worked great and took me no time at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKyZKkOqkvo

Shifting problems fixed, low gear adjustment screw, was not adjusted from factory it was screwed in all the way, backed it out to match wifes bike and adjusted barrel nut all is well.
These Rad City Step thru 3 are really nice riding bikes.

Thanks for suggestions
