Title: Monthly Battery Balancing
Post by: rpwbike on May 30, 2021, 05:36:18 AM
Looking through the manual for my Rad City, I notice it says I should balance the battery every month (or 250-750 miles).... seems like a lot.  How many Rad Owners actually do this?

I'll leave mine on for a 12h charge occasionally, out of laziness more than anything else!

I have the same question. Even in the advice on the site for battery maintenance this is not mentioned, but I recall seeing it in the manual when I got the bike. How about a response?

Just got my Rad 6 last week and the dealer told me to charge it for 12hrs the first 3 times,  is this part of this battery balancing and if not anyone else do this?

You should read your Owner's Manual, and tell your dealer to do likewise. The Rad 6 semi-integrated battery is different from the Rad Standard battery. No special balancing procedure is needed on the semi-integrated battery.
