What is the preferred brake bleeding kit for a Rover 6? It would help if I could order it on Amazon. Thanks

General Chat / Re: Helmet

In South Dakota kids have to wear helmets on motorcycles, but not bikes. We also have to wear seatbelts in motor vehicles but don't have to wear helmets on motorcycles. Does that make any sense?
My wife and I bought Sena M1 Evo helmets and absolutely love them. The Bluetooth communication is awesome. They aren't cheap but in my opinion worth the money.

I don't mind looking ridiculous for using training wheels. I just want to ride with my kids safely.
We kind of did not answer your real question.

I found this https://www.fatwheels.com/Adult-FATWHEELS-Training-Wheels-p/fw-adult.htm

They did say not recommended for e-bikes but they also said if you use an eBike. Do not exceed 6 to 10 mph. you may want to give them a call to see if there is a solution that will fit your wagon.

CORRECTION: THIS IS NOT AREA 13'S CONTROLLER. THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM ELECTROBIKEWORLD.

This is the kit that works for the original Radrunner Plus.

The label on the controller states:
" Controller Brushless Motor
Model KT48SVPRL-SPS3R---[the label had a slight tear on it, so if there is supposed to be more to the model number, it was lost in that tear]
Rated Voltage: 48V
Rated Current: 17Amp
Low Voltage Protection: DC 40+/-0.5v
Maximum current: 35+/-2A
Speed set: 1-4.2V
Brake Input: Low-Level"

I purchased this to put on my radrunner plus, but before I could install it, someone stole my bike.

I only used this once to make sure it worked on my buddy's radrunner 2 and it definitely had noticeable torque increase.

I bought it directly from Area13 for $140 a few months ago.

I'm asking $115 OBO.
Please respond to this thread if interested and we can go from there.

Thanks.

It seemed you might have a problem accessing the zipper once the rear basket is full of stuff. Which can easily be fix by changing the orientation around.

Yes, that's true and a good point, but most of the time I don't need what's in there, and if I do it's easy enough to pull them out before flipping it over.  But I'm intrigued and will probably try your suggestion to see if I'm missing something.

One of the best purchases I have made for my Rover 5 is this dropper seat post. When I ride, I like to sit up really high. With the seat up that high, I can't touch the ground with both feet while I'm in the seat. With this dropper seat post, I can hit the thumb lever when I'm coming to a stop the lower the seat all the way down. Then when I take off again, I can hit the thumb lever again without all of my weight on the seat and it will raise up to whatever height I choose. I also find that I can ride farther comfortably by adjusting the height occasionally while I ride. It's not cheap, but out of the thousands of dollars I've spent on various upgrades, this is the one I feel gave me the most for the money.

I agree, leg injury makes swinging my leg over seat, dropper is awesome and the little adjuments while riding make a huge difference.

General Chat / Is Rad retiring the + models?
Last post by ChrisB - April 04, 2024, 07:36:56 PM
I see that Rad has introduced the new Radsters models. They look really interesting and are another step up from previous models. My wife and I each have a RadCity5+ (HS for me and a ST for her), and are very happy with the bikes. We are not looking to replace them anytime soon as we have only had them for two years. I have a query, Rad only produced 3 models with the display and controls of my bike (RadRover6+, RadCity5+ and the Radrunner3+) before bringing out a whole new bike with totally new controls. Will they have support for my bike in the future when the inevitable breakdown happens? The battery looks the same (which is good because I don't see an aftermarket battery being designed for my bike), so it should fit my bike when I eventually have to replace mine.

Just pondering the question.
