Hi Dmann, it looks like the Ibera rack you listed will fit. It is a bit tall, and the front legs that bolt to the frame by the battery appear just long enough, but it should work. You will not need the "disc brake" spacers, as the distance from side to side for the lower mounting points on the RadMini is 7 and 3/4 inches.

The one that I went with is a universal one from West Biking. I picked that one because I could make custom support legs and use a passenger seat.

However, I like the one Vudude listed, especially since it was made with the RadMini in mind. I may get that one myself if my passenger needs change.

New rear bike racks from RAD are in.  Also had been waiting and finally was able to place an order today.  Regards.

Thanks for the tip! Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the mounting busses from tearing up the bottom of my rack bag? Seeing how far they stick up, it concerns me.

Do you have a picture of the issue?

Sure. The mounting busses sticking up are highlighted in the photos below. Seems like I'd need to add a wooden deck to prevent damage, sort of like they have on the Himiway Cruiser rack. On my existing rack (third photo), the surface is smooth.

Not sure how your bag attaches. You could use two webbing straps covering the mounting posts. They would be permanate and provide additional support for the bag. Wood/Alum plate would work too.

Did the rack come with a cable extension for the tail-light?

Hey guys,

I have the Radmini 4 and spent some time to find a rack which is available (also in Germany), fit the big tires and doesn't look like cr*p. I ended buying the "Tern Cargo Rack", which someone on reddit recommended.

https://www.ternbicycles.com/en/accessories/471/cargo-rack

It fits the Bike perfectly, you can add panier bags and there are click baskets (which I haven't tried) available if needed. Also the backlight fits without modification.

Best regards,
jj

The Rad Mini rack from Rad comes with a cable extension for the tail light.  Good thing too because the extension did not work and I got a second cable under warranty.

I recommend the rack from Rad.  It is original equipment and the fit is great.

It is a little hard to put on.  Be careful of the paint plugging up the screw holes in the frame.

Now that I think about it, the problem with the mounts sticking up can be solved by a 1/4 inch thick piece of ABS plastic, with holes drilled for the mounts.
