General Chat / Price drop on Savior heated gloves
January 15, 2021, 04:29:01 PM
Amazon has a price drop on Savior heated gloves S66b.  The raised touch screen finger part helps hit the PAS buttons unlike other bulky gloves.  Wife and I very pleased even though we paid more

Service & Repair / Bad Controller
January 15, 2021, 04:00:20 PM
Intermittent power with PAS and throttle on Radrover 5 at 120 miles with intermittent Code 25.  Called Rad and their troubleshooting identified a bad controller.  Received new controller and wiring harness in 5 days.  Main hassle was the four wires crammed in the frame grommet opening.  Removed the rubber grommet (a pain) and used string on the old wire to pull new wire down.  The lower controller mount screw was a tight fit, so removed the battery tray for a straight shot on those soft metal phillips head screws.   In hindsight I should have used the $60 Rad approved for LBS labor.  Pleased to say the Rad customer service exceeded my expectations.

General Chat / Savior heated gloves, easy Rad button push
December 07, 2020, 01:54:30 PM
Savior heated gloves arrived and the raised arch for the touch screen contact makes it easy to push the Rad Power and PAS buttons.  That was my only concern when ordering.  Been using an older pair for 2 years on atv and a good product.  3 heat settings and dual plug charger.  Hope this helps someone.

Rad Modifications / Low height suspension seat post?
November 20, 2020, 11:18:28 AM
Really like the Suntour suspension seat post, but the added 4 inch height on my RR5 is a bit too much when dismounting with the seat post fully down.  Any recommendations of a suspension post with a lower profile?  Thanks in advance.

RadRover / Extra wide YLG seat fits and comfortable
November 16, 2020, 11:01:53 AM
Big improvement for this older rider.  Angling the seat nose upward  slightly gives a supported feel in consideration of the curved seat contour.  Found on Amazon and note a $5 discount box to check (if still offered).  Pleased with the upgrade to the Radrover 5.

Rad Modifications / Extra wide YLG seat
November 16, 2020, 10:57:17 AM
Just installed this extra wide YLG seat to replace the Cloud 9 on my Radrover 5.  MUCH MORE comfort for this older man, also using it with the Suntour suspension seat post.  Could have gone with the SR 350 mm seat post instead of the 400.  A better feel with the nose of the YLG seat angled more than usual due to the seat contour.  If buying on Amazon, click the $5 discount box.

Just received this Cycplus "smart" pump and pleased with it.  Like the feature that cuts off at your desired psi.

RadRover / Handlebar stem riser?
October 30, 2020, 02:37:06 PM
Don't know if the handlebar stems are the same diameters for all models, but looking for recommendations or links to raise my riding posture on 2020 RadRover 5.  Need a bit more height than adjusting Handlebar angles provides.   Thanks

General Chat / Singing front disc
October 30, 2020, 02:30:31 PM
Assembled the RR 5 and the front disc was singing like a Mermaid at all speeds, stopped with slight brake pressure.  Backing off disc pad several click did mot help.  Inner pad constantly on the disc so centered the caliper and all good.   Now have to raise the handlebars for more upright posture, searching for a good riser.  Added the suntour suspension seat post, that 4 inches higher has me on toes when stopped.

General Chat / First aid kit?
October 27, 2020, 08:04:07 AM
Today is First Responders Day, and as a ex EMT and new member, I was curious how many members carry a small first aid kit?   If so, any recommendations or links to help others ride safe.  Possibly an item to add to an accessories list that may be overlooked.  Thanks all.   A updated smaller examples, the first one has eye wash.  Get one with a Triangle bandage, good for arm sling or bandage or splinting.

General Chat / Why no hitch hoist rack?
October 13, 2020, 02:12:18 PM
In consideration of all the $150 hitch sliding and swivel hoists for hunters to load 300 lb game in trucks, has anyone seen or made a similar product, with a bike carrier instead of the wire mesh platform?  Seems like a market for roll-on loading of dual e bikes.   Tried a forum search.
