RadRover / Re: What charging should look like...
July 31, 2022, 03:15:20 PM
Sounds like you did the correct sequence.  I just got mine and it came 1/2 charged so I charged it.  It should show a red light when charging, at least mine did and when it showed 10 bars (I had to press the battery button to see that, it didn't come on on it's own), I unplugged the wall outlet and then the battery.

One thing to try maybe.  In watching the assembly video, they refer to some batteries as being sent in 'shipping' mode.  Look that one up on Youtube, it had a procedure to try.  If that doesn't work, I think you will need to contact Rad.

General Chat / Re: RAD not delivering?

Ah, ok, now I do remember posts about people doing that with keys.  Nice to have people share experiences so the rest of us can try to avoid the issues.  Thanks.

General Chat / Re: Is this site SLOWING down?????
July 28, 2022, 04:11:57 PM
Usable, but still pretty slow for me as well (compared to other sites at least).

Also, probably want to remove the "$350 off" Rad ad at the bottom of each page as it's no longer valid.

I ordered my RR6 plus on Monday (25th) and got it today (28th), but I'm also on the west coast USA.

Rad should really talk with FedEx to explain to them what "This Side Up" means.  I suppose they are getting a good rate so they don't want to rock the boat though.  Hopefully mine is ok, but the box has obviously been whacked about a bit.

With regards to the BOOB post about the battery.  Is that the only situation that blows the fuse?  Has anyone reported following BOOB and still having the battery issue?  Just curious, as I'm figuring it's worth making a label for the charger to remind about BOOB.

Thanks for the reply and info.  I was kinda figuring that, but thought I would ask.

General Chat / Center stand possible?
July 26, 2022, 09:10:51 AM
I just ordered a Radrover 6 plus.  Years ago, I rode motorcycles and always found the center stand more stable than the kickstand, so that's whay I'm used to.  I see there are some aftermarket center stands out there... does anyone have experience with these or an opinion if they would work with a Radrover?

RadRover / Re: Radrover 6 plus question

Thanks for the input.  So can you replace the stock seatpost with a bit longer suspension style seatpost?  I'm reading that suspension posts are more comfortable and just wondered if this would be doable?

RadRover / Radrover 6 plus question
July 17, 2022, 12:43:32 PM
So I'm 6'1" which is within the range for the step thru, however, when I do the inseam measurement, I'm 1 inch over.  I'm also 67 years old and want a step thru bike for sure.  I know we are all a little different in physical measurements, but can anyone speculate if I might be ok on this bike?  I saw a review of one on youtube where the guy was 6'1" and he said the bike didn't fit him.  I have no place to test ride near me.  The price right now seems pretty nice and I like all the specs.  Advice appreciated!

I'm also new to the whole ebike thing, but have ridden regular bikes for years, but casually.  I had a Trek 200 Navigator years ago and when they sized me for that, they went too big on the frame and it was uncomfortable to get on/off.  And VERY uncomfortable to straddle the bike (if you know what I mean).  Had to get rid of it and miss riding (but not missing uphill pedaling, thus, ebikes sound pretty good).

Thanks!
