Now that I'm up to several hundred miles I think this would be better and allow for much more "rider assist" - LOL pun intended.

What do others think, anyone done this?

I should go ride a e-bike with torque too, it's been a while.

Rad Modifications / Re: Dropper seatposts

I have to admit, after seeing the PNW, I'm convinced this is a great solution. First, in my experience, a seat suspension is a must have on e-bike if nothing else because of the longer distances, generally heavier bikes and the noticeably less fatigue throughout the ride. So I bought a couple inexpensive ones right away to get by while deciding between probably the Suntour and Thudbuster, but no longer, I've decided on this solution.

So now all I have to do is save up $600.00 (yes, I know they are $300.00 for post and lever, but I'm married, so it's two of everything for me- LOL)!

That said I'm super glad I ran across this. Really I think this deserves a look by everyone as the seat height is 100% an issue because the set up for riding is NOT the same setup for stopping. Yes, you can quickly make manual seat height adjustments (and keep $600.00 in your pocket, some will argue) which is what I currently do but it's much easier for me then say my wife who is much smaller stature and it's much more difficult for her to jump off her bike bend, quickly loosen lock nut, then lower or raise, quickly tighten lock nut, yeah it's not even that easy or convenient for me.

Lastly how SWEET will my Rad City 5 Plus HS look with the orange lever inset to compliment it's own orange touches? That alone makes me want it - LOL

I am installing the headlight on my new bike and as the manual says I out three washers on the bolt, put the bolt through the fender mount, then through the head light, then trough the fork, then one more washer and the nut on the end. but I have tightened it to the point that the nut started to slip in the wrench but the headlight will still slight all over the place with almost no effort.

anyone have any tips on how I can fix this?

Three washers on the bolt does not sound right, I think the post below might be right in the bolt is bottoming out but it might be due to an extra washer. That being said the mounting system could be better, I'm connecting them to the front basket on one and front rack on our other.

Video you linked isn't for the 5 plus. There was a video out there but it has been taken down. I did it to mine and it works, however I don't recall how to do it so I stuck with the 25mph setting, I guess there are worse things ;D. If anyone does recall how to, please post up. I would like to know how to switch it back to factory setting just because. Thanks
Sorry I posted the wrong video... You can only increase the speed to 25 MPH from 20 MPH so if you're asking about going above 25 MPH that's a power limitation of the controller (I think) so not possible with the stock setup.

Here's how to do it

Press the assist down arrow and the light button till you get to program mode.  It will flash a P.

Then hold assist up, assist down and the light button until the screen switches from there you can edit the top speed.  It's in KMH so I think goes to 40 KMH (About 25 MPH).  I did not change it on mine to test but I have no reason to think the setting won't work.

I'm going to add a WARNING... Even the 5 MPH speed increase significantly increases your chance of serious injury or worse in a crash.  Every 10 MPH the impact force in a crash doubles so if you do this be aware of the risks.  I won't do this because I know I would crash and 20 MPH is plenty fast for me.  You have to decide what works for you though.

I totally agree with your warning, 20MPH is really fast and it feels plenty fast/fun as well, I would add always wear your helmets too. Of course, I'm going to try it but it's highly unlikely I will keep it (maybe I'll leave it 1MPH over my what I have my wife set to - LOL - just kidding sweetie).

Okay latest update.  I replied to the email letting them know I still had the issue and about 10 days later they replied back asking if I could take a video showing the issue.

I replied saying I already took a video but would take another if he needed me to.  I figured they needed some recent proof of the problem for warranty.

A different person replied back saying to check the connections for damage.  At this point I'm thinking I bet they don't have a record of the problem or the guy didn't look it up because I already did that as the first step a while back but what the heck I'll do it again.  I was planning on doing it today but before I could reply they send me another email saying they are sending a new controller.  I feel like they're playing a game of guess what part is next.  The first person said the motor (didn't replace (yet?)) but by the time the second person got the request it was the display and now the controller.

If it's the controller I'll be happy but IDK if it is.  Do you guys think the controller could cause this?  This looks like it's going to be a pain to replace so I really don't want to do it if it's not the problem 😢

I had to replace mine because i was getting an "Error 30" so I can't speak for your fix but it's actually not that hard to replace. Make sure you have the right tools (I have some nice stubby hex keys) makes it easy to remove the parts under the battery. The other thing i was concerned about was lining it back up for the screw holes but just push it up against the one side with one screw in and it will "find" the hole (when you do this what I'm saying will make sense if it does not now).
