Hi

I know it?s early but I?d be interested to know if the suspension forks on the new Expand 5 Plus will fit on the normal Expand 5?

I have two Expand 5 bikes and wish they had suspension forks

RadExpand / Re: Rear rack bags for RadExpand 5

We ordered the adapter plate for the Topeak bag that just slides and locks in place.
The reason is we couldn?t get our folded Expand 5 bikes into our Equinox with any type of bag on the rear rack.
We plan on carrying a spare battery with each bike and although the Topeak system was pricey, I think the convenience will outweigh the price.

Hi
We have two Expand 5 bikes
We use the Rubbermaid 50gal (189L) totes.
Toss the lids
Pop the front wheel off, place them behind our front seats.
Fold the bikes, place them in the totes.
Makes it easy to pick up and slide into the back of our Equinox.
Works great

General Chat / Rad External Battery
December 02, 2023, 10:41:46 AM
Hi

Anyone know if Rad Power ever puts the Rad Power External battery 48v 14ah batteries on sale?
Current price is $665 CAD.
I?d like to purchase a couple spares for next season but that?s pretty pricey.

thanks

Hi
I wish/hope Rad Power will have a sale on their Rad External 48v 14ah battery.
I?d like to purchase a couple new batteries but they seemed to be stuck on $655 CAD. price point. 🤔

Thanks
I?ll check out all options.
I was hoping that Rad would have a battery sale
This would allow for a quick swap without having to do any wiring changes or adapting.
If I can?t find a Rad sale or a decent priced used battery I?ll then proceed with an aftermarket option.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Hello

Has anyone ever seen the Rad External battery pack (48v 672ah) go on sale?
Currently it?s listed for $665 CAD
Does the price go down in the winter months?

Thanks

Thanks for the information on the controller.
It?ll most likely be a winter project.

Again thank you 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi
Just out of curiosity on the Rad Expand 5
Is there information on the controller to know exactly what the specs are?
I?m looking to squeeze the most performance and range out of these bikes while protecting the battery at the same time.

Thanks

Hi
We have two Expand 5 bikes.
We have a 2021 Chevy Equinox
Fold down the seats and we take off the front wheel of each bike.
Fold the bike and place it in a 50 gallon Rubbermaid bin.
The bin makes it easy to pickup with a person on each end.
You can also remove the batteries to lighten the bin too.

Good luck!😁

RadExpand / Battery Expand 5
August 22, 2023, 03:00:57 PM
Hi
I have two Expand 5 bikes
They use the 48v 14ah 672wh battery.
I was wondering if the I can use the RadMission battery as a backup?
They are about 25% less capacity but are on sale right now for $260CAD.
The regular battery for the Expand 5 is $665.
That?s a pricey 25% extra capacity.

Any thoughts on using the RadMission battery as a backup?
It should slip right into the same base.

Thanks
Bob
