RadRunner / Re: Rad Runner - green paint (RAL)?

Quote from: RadOST on April 27, 2024, 02:24:39 AMAny ideas about the paint job and repair would be highly appreciated. Thanks.  :)
Your picture looked a little faded, even if you get the right code. Are you sure it will match?

What if you just use black paint the bottom of the fork both left and right (from the top of the rust to the bottom rust)

Quote from: JimInPT on April 30, 2024, 07:50:03 AMJust curious.... what is your headlight looking at that's so interesting?
lol it's the problem I mentioned with the harness. It's pulling the light cable upwards.

Plus I have not made any final adjustments. ie. shifter needs to be lowered, brakes levers, etc.

It's a good thing I took it for a drive. It snowed last night and bike is back to storage.

I have taken a regular bike to Blaine,WA before and it's quite an enjoyable ride. A family member has a trailer there. I normally take the truck crossing because it's less busy.

Thinking out loud since your US bike are 750W. There is a possibility that a person can cross the border and sell it to the Canadians. Therefore the border services may require a proof that you leave Canada with all your equipment.

Word of warning. The George Massey tunnel does not allow cyclists but there is a shuttle that could take across. Check their schedules.

Richmond and Surrey are two places where you can cheat and take the LRT (Skytrain) all the way to downtown Vancouver.

I would suggest downloading Lower Mainland's bike paths.

Last winter when I hopped onto my bike. It felt big for me but fortunately I was wrong. I was able to raise the seat so that it is comfortable pedalling without feeling I'm not able to touch the ground.

I am disappointed to find that I may not be able to use the front basket because it is obstructing the wiring harness. I have to find a way to route it through the basket and the only way I can think of doing that is to remove everything from the handlebars.

I did not have time to test it on real hill climb but so far I am satisfied with my purchase. It was a long wait but I am happy.

Quote from: rayling on April 24, 2024, 07:48:41 AM... and hoping the battery will take a charge
Are you assuming that your battery is dead? Have you actually used a new charger and it failed to charge?

Have you taken the battery out of the frame and physically inspected it for damages?
If I have to replace the battery and it turned out not the cause of the problem, I would be pretty upset.

Quote from: mrgold35 on April 21, 2024, 05:40:12 AMI added the Sunlite 0-60 degree adjustable handlebar stem for the 100% solution.  I added the adjustable stem to both Radrovers and can then adjust in seconds depending on the rider.

I had the opposite problem. When I first sat on my City+, it felt tall for me. So I adjusted the seat & handlebar but I am still not happy because the seat post was on the lowest settings.
Because of your post I realized that I can move the spacers to the top instead where it was on the bottom of the neck. You just helped lowered it by another inch. In the future I may order one of those adjustable neck to lose more height.

Quote from: hondo2160 on April 20, 2024, 03:34:06 PMThis is a bummer. A replacement unit is $80. I guess cable ties will do for now.
I love challenges, can you provide a picture of the damages? What part broke?

Quote from: crorris on April 12, 2024, 05:54:20 AMThere is another option - CO2
As a youngster we used a lot of CO2 for airsoft pistols and I have learned to hate them for their single use purposes. But I do agree that they are a lifesaver when you are in the middle of nowhere and no airpump.

UPDATE:
Amazon had a sale, the X9 was the same price as the X8 Ace so I bought the X9. It took a couple of minutes to get used to but it seemed fine. It has a bit of weight which I like. There's ventilation on both top & bottom. My tires says 21 psi and when I pump it to 30. It seemed to take the same amount of time as any electric inflators but it's palm size. I just wished Fanttik would add a longer extension tube as an accessory.

Quote from: enzo.moscoso on April 16, 2024, 10:42:42 AM- Custom Self Powered and Charging Horn
Very nice for getting car's attention. Custom 3d printed case that attaches to the front rack mounts. Charges with the USB port on the display. This took a while to figure out. It has a small 500mah battery that is kept topped off by the USB port using a small LiPo charging board. The button is wired to power the horn from the 3.7v nominal battery, which powers the horn. The horn is rated for 6V, so it's not as loud as it could be.

- Shimano Altus SL-M315-7R 7-Speed Right Rapidfire Plus Shifter
It looked like any ordinary horn. thanks for the extra info inside the unit. I will definitely buy one since it can be a standalone unit. I might even wire one up on my coworkers office chair.

I also liked the look of that shifter.

I have used the Ryobi before and I liked it, but perhaps for home use.
Thanks to both of you for the suggestions.

A quick Google implies the problem is with Tapatalk not Simple Machines.
A quick sharing of information rather than assumptions and a reply with attitude would have helped make this a friendlier conversation.
It worked until recently pretty well for me and conincided with changes to the forum. I am all ears for solutions though, if you have one, be my guest.
Poor choice of words on my part. I just meant that when I did a quick Google. It implied that the problem was with the Tapatalk app and not in the forum part. My bad if I sounded rude, it wasn't my intention.
