Pride & Joy / Our first ride for fun.

My lovely bride has been commuting to school on her City Step Thru, but this was our first big excursion together since I got one, too. Did all of the excellent oceanside path on Miami Beach, from 26th around South Pointe, then all over town visiting our old apartments.

Love these bikes.

Service & Repair / Velofix?
November 02, 2020, 10:59:56 AM
Anyone have any experience with Velofix? (They do appear to operate in South Florida.)

Do you know if they service Rad bikes?

https://www.velofix.com/

No issues with our new Rad City bikes, but would like to locate a servicer BEFORE I need them. Snooty bike shop near my office that sells $5,300 e-bikes advises that "we do NOT work on other companies' e-bikes."

Another local bike shop is friendly and did a really good job on the assembly of both bikes, but not at all sure he's the guy for e-bike electronics and motors and so on. So I want to know my options.

General Chat / South Florida Rad owners?
November 02, 2020, 08:46:11 AM
Any other Rad Bike owners in South Florida? (We're in Cutler Bay.)

Looking to share trip information and suggestions.

Also  trying to find best options for service in the area. The bike shop near my office in Coral Gables services e-bikes, but only e-bikes that it sells. (Can someone tell me WHY anyone would spend $5,300 on an e-bike that appears indistinguishable in features from my $1,500 Rad City? Anyway, offering that sort of thing appears to have made the shop pretty snobby.)
