what kind of water problems are you having?  they are made to be water resistant. 

On Youtube one guy in California wraps his in plastic, but i would think that might allow the heat to build up.

Thanks inoxa, not really having any issues, just mindful for the future, though like you say, they seem to be quite water resistant anyway.
