Install connectors to Radrover V1 power cable

The first version of Radrover does not have connectors on cable from controller to hub (see pic), has anyone fitted a connector?

Please have a look at the attached picture which shows the underside of the Radrover. The power cable from the controller to the hub does not have a connector. If you run a flat and want to fix it, the real wheel stays tethered to the frame (which is a pain). Has anyone installed an aftermarket connector that allows the rear wheel to be completely detached?
