I just changed the back tire- the first tire change in 40 years.  I put the wheel back on but it will not rotate.  Anyone have an idea to help me out? 

I just unscrewed the nut next to the brake pad.  Wheel turns, but when I tighten it up, it compresses the brake pad and wheel will not turn.  Thank you, Barry

First make sure you are certain that the rear wheel is on exactly the way you took it off. If the brake pads are stopping the tire from spinning and it worked before then something with the wheel is wrong. Pictures might help.
