RadMission motor stopped working and now I can petal backwards stopping the bik?

I just had an odd thing happen.
I went to use my RadMission.
The motor isnt  working but power is on.
Now if I petal backwards I will actaully  catch and will give backward momentum for a moment or two......

Any ideas what happened?
