Does anyone if I can raise the handlebars stem up on 6+ ? I need about a 1". Want to sit up a little straighter.

I don't think you can but you may be able to adjust the seat forward more if you haven't done so already.

Mori55

Did that, just wanted up a little. Thanks.

Yes you can raise your handle bars. I did on my Rover 6+.
Ebay and Amazon all sell handle bar extension's . You just remove the center bolt on the handlebars. Lift the handle bars off. Slip the extender over the stem, tighten. They come with different size rings that you then add to the hight you would like. ( Note: if you make it to high your cables will not reach )
It comes with new longer stem bolt. re attach the handle bars, then just tighten down.
I am 6'2" and it worked perfect for me.  It was easier for me to attach the handle bars to the extension 1st, then slip the extension over stud.

Radar,
Thanks for the confirmation that this works.   Would you mind sending an amazon link for the product you used?

Thanks!
Dave

Yes a link would be nice. How high did you raise them ?

Veggyhed

Can you loosen your handlebars and roll them towards you? You'll probably need to adjust other items in your cockpit if you do this.

Did that but then it moves them farther away.

Here's the one I bought and installed, "Satori - Bike Stem Riser 1-1/8" - Bicycle Adjustable Handlebar Height Extension - Mountain Bike Fork Stem Extender Raise - Heads-UP".

$27, which is high but I hoped it would be better quality as product reviews were not good on the low end stuff.

Works great on my 6 plus.  Raised the handlebars 3-4 inches, can't go any higher due to the cables.

Mori55

There's enough slack in the cables to go that high ??

I went a different way on my RR5. I swapped out the handlebar for a swept back design, almost identical to the bars on the RadCity. Much more upright and comfortable for me.

Any problem with cable lengths?
Thanks, Paul

There are a lot of factors to consider when adjusting handlebar height on your mountain bike. But the most important step is to determine whether your bicycle is sporting a threadless or threaded headset stem.
