Phone mount for 2019 Rover
« on: January 21, 2020, 07:43:40 PM »
Picked up a new Rover this weekend. Fenders and rear rack installed. Planning to add a mirrycyle mirror, maybe pannier down the line. I’m interested in a phone mount. The one Rad sells is pricey (Ram Torque Xmount ~$60). Have looked at a couple online (ex. BOVON mount on Amazon), but they have a pretty low profile and the curve of the handle bars makes it seem like they wouldn’t fit well. What do others use?

Check out the cell phone mounts section on this thread. I also did a video of the ones I've tried linked within.

This list is helpful. Thanks. The bars on the new rover seem a little different. Not as straight. Would be interested to hear people’s experiences with different mounts.

I think the corner stretchy band grips are essential.

I see what you mean. You will definitely want to get one that extends out more or one that has a ball joint so it can be adjusted and doesn't hit the bars. If it helps I can take a closer picture of the iPow one that I have and maybe you can gauge whether it will stick out far enough for the Rover.

Sorry for the delay. You can see that this is on a part of my Wagon that isn't flat either. Let us know what you decide.

Yes, that looks like it would work. I think I’d prefer a slightly lower profile than the x-mount. This looks like a good compromise. Thanks.
